Who do you guys want the Jaguars to target?

I know, it's not like we know 100% who the available players will be, but we can speculate?

I'd like to see us get Alex Mack, Center from the Browns.  We'll see if they re-sign him.

Also, Ben Tate.

Mack and Tate on offense.... and then use the 10 picks we have in the draft to get a few more starters that actually improve the roster (QB, DE).

You have to find a veteran Pass Rusher, the problem is just to deep and gone on to long to expect rookies to come in and fix it. I hope they draft HEAVY on the Pass rush and bring in at least 1 Veteran guy to help out.

We shouldn't really return a single DE as far as I'm concerned.

Ben Tate wouldn't be a bad addition, Mack would be nice too. But I think I would rather have Mack than Tate.

Agreed completely.

However, I fully expect the Browns to re-sign/franchise him, and he will never sniff the open market.
Tate would be great. He is gonna get a big contract tho. Not sure if we would throw a lot at him.

Why would he get a big contract? He was a role player in Houston behind Foster. Lol.

He will be a big contract regardless.  He's young, proven he can play, and will be signed as a starter.  Granted, he won't be making top dollar but I expect teams to drive up the price for him because he is by far the best RB out there.

I fail to see how he has proven he can play. He's been a role player his whole career. Role players don't garner big contracts.

Tate is the number one free agent running back. Why wouldn't he get a big deal? Oh you don't know anything anyways, why am I even asking.

In Free Agency, sometimes teams overpay for a certain player.  While yes, he's been a role player - he's been a good one thus far.  I think he has shown enough to a lot of teams that he can be a legitimate #1 RB.

Now, I don't think he's going to get money like a perennial starter or pro-bowl RB will, but he will be significantly more expensive than.... a rookie for example.  He's not coming for the league minimum, that's for sure.

Think about Laurent Robinson 2 years ago.  He got a big contract after 1 good year in Dallas where he wasn't even a consistent starter.  He got playing time due to other receivers being injured.

Anyone, anyone that is on the right side of 30 and has shown the ability to play in the NFL could get a big contract.  Tate is 25....
If they are Rutgers alumn or former Giants, you can forget about it.

Sincerely,

Greg Schiano

I believe it is OK to "overpay" for a free agent OL man who has proven himself at his position to be worthy of a contract. Other positions are a little more shaky.

Michael Turner?
I'd pass on Tate.

He missed 5 games last year with a turf toe injury (I think) and he has four broken ribs this year. Not the guy I want to hand a large contract too.

Besides, isn't our zone running scheme supposed to allow us to succeed without necessarily having stars at RB? Fix the line and the running game will be fine.

Interior OL.

Maybe an OLB as well.
