Quote:Not enough.

The Bucs were at least competitive in some of their games, even among their first 8 games. And after a while their opponents were preparing and playing their hardest just to avoid the embarrasement of being the first team to lose to the Bucs.

The Jags opponents, OTOH, are playing backups in the 4th quarter.
They still lost 26 straight games. A loss is a loss is a loss. Let me know when we accomplish that incredible feat.

-ScrewDrvr-

what was the lowest total points scored in a season? And are we on track to demolish that record?

Lets be fair though. A good handful of teams we've played so far are definitely playoff contenders. Yes this team sucks eggs right now, but we haven't played many mediocre teams to really see how bad this team really is..
Quote:Get back to me when they're 0 and 25, then we can talk about being the worst team in history. Until then the Bucs are still the best at being the worst.

Don't worry, I'll make sure we break our own record.
You have to hand it to this board.  We certainly are good at arguing over really bad things.  Gabbert vs. Henne and now Bucs vs. Jags.

0-26 ... and a flamboyant pirate as our logo for two decades. Doesn't get much worse than that.

Sincerely,

Greg Schiano

I'm not worried, you'll be gone from there long before they get near that record.

By that point, I'll have caused too much damage and this team will have the #1 pick before you guys for decades and decades.
Quote:The Creamsickle Bucs were worse than us. Period.
Totally agree!
This current form of the Bucs could end up being worse than the Jags.

I'm the worst there is, the worst there was, and the worst there ever will be!

I'm going to lock in the sharpshooter on that first overall pick!

Sincerely,

Greg Schiano

The stat that caught my eye is how the Jaguars are averaging 5 points less per game then the 2009 0-16 Detroit Lions. I'm thinking that Lions team owns the record for lowest point per game average, so that's truly sad if I'm correct about that.

Recently I've been involved in an almost heated Facebook discussion about who would win between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Alabama Crimson Tide. You'd think it would be a no brainer that the Jaguars would cream them, but there seems to be several football fans who aren't so sure about that.

Alabama would smoke us... just saying.
Quite frankly, the Jaguars wish they had the Bucs run D.

How does this team compare to the 2002 Bengals who finished 2-14?

We have a long ways to go to claim the Worst in NFL History...

8 more games.

Right now the Jags aren't just being compared to the '76 Bucs. They're being compared to the '44 Card/Steelers.

The fact hat this is even a topic of discussion says everything.

We are setting marks for futility. Great plan for Caldwell and Bradley; suck it up year one and blame the previous GM. Get lucky on 1/2 your picks and you will be substantially better than this year, why overachieve year one when you can get many more years out of Khan by saying "look how good we are compared to 2012 and 2013." Sounds like people who we vote into office every few years in DC.
Quote:I highly doubt the Jaguars will lose 26 straight games.

its starting to become a real possibility.

Yep, but if the second half of this season finishes the way the first did, there's no question in my mind.
