12:21 PM Mississippi State at No. 21 South Carolina

3:30 PM Georgia vs. Florida*

3:30 PM No. 22 Michigan at Michigan State

7:00 PM No. 19 Oklahoma State at No. 10 Texas Tech

8:00 PM No. 7 Miami (FL) at No. 2 Florida State

If only to me.

Miami fixin' to get slaughtered by Winston and crew.
Not a real good slate next Saturday. The Florida-Georgia game will be uglier than last year.

Cant believe it will already be November when this saturday will roll around.  College football regular season is 2/3's of the way done!  Ugh it always goes by so fast.  my schools...

Vandy - bye.  tough loss to A&M.  they always struggle against dual threat QBs and Manziel is the best of the bunch.  next game is against Florida.... which is a huge trap game for the Gators who play the Dawgs this weekend and then SC following Vandy.  And Florida stinks this year.  Perfect time for Vandy to catch them.

Dawgs/Gators - Cocktail party.  Havent decided if Im heading to Jax this weekend.  Im 80/20 coming so Ill probably make it.  Probably wont go to game though.  Disappointing year for both teams.  I have to think the Dawgs are better.  And they have the better QB.  Gators forte is defense and they were exposed by Mizzou.  Just too many injuries.  If Gators win, itll be close.  Dawgs have the potential to run away with it.

other games...

Miami at FSU - game of the week!  for a stretch of the 90s this was the game of the year every year it seemed like.  Bowden.  Erickson.  Toretta, Ward. Weinke.... etc's...  great games.  Even though both are undefeated and top 10, it doesnt have quite the same feel to me.  Maybe its because Miami hasnt looked that great at times.  Coulda shoulda lost to Florida, Carolina, and Wake Forest.  QB Morris has been ok but not great.  While on the otherhand FSU has been dominant.  Cant believe the spread in this game.  But that reflects the disparity in ability.

Okie St at Texas Tech - Red Raiders finally got their first lost this past weekend to the Sooners although they hung in tougher than I thought they might.  Okie St has a solid record but they havent really beat anybody and have a bad loss to West Virginia.  In the winds of West Texas this may be a Tech win.

Michigan at Michigan St - Sparty is a suprising 7-1.  Of course their schedule has been complete cake with that one loss being to the only good team they played.. Notre Dame.  Not sure what to make of Michigan.  Beat Notre Dame but coulda lost to Akron and UConn. Important game for the division lead.

USC at Oregon St - Tough loss for the Beavers against Stanford.  Played them tougher than I thought they would.  Not sure what to make of the Trojans.  Up and down all year.

Miss St at SC - Could be a trap game for the Hens.  Big win against Mizzou and following this they play Florida which is a must win for SEC championship hopes.

Northwestern at Nebraska - Wildcats really have fallen off this year after their big showcase against Ohio St.  Lincoln is a tough place to play.

Boise St at Colorado St - I want a snow game!  Important for conference race.

time to start looking at conference races....

SEC - West will come down to Bama/Auburn game... assuming Auburn wins out until then.  East is still in Mizzou's control but the SC loss was huge.  If SC wins out (Miss St and UF remaining) you have to like their chances.  Mizzou still has games against Ole Miss and A&M so I imagine theyll have at least two losses.  Interesting tiebreakers if Dawgs end with 2 losses... could be Mizzou's best hope.

Pac12 - North will probably come down to Oregon-Stanford winner... Beavers with only one loss but to Stanford.  Imagine the Ducks will roll them.  In the South, Arizona St with just one loss while Arizona, UCLA, and USC with two.  UCLA with arguably the easiest schedule... Arizona St-UCLA game weekend before Thanksgiving could decide it.

Big12 - Texas and Baylor still undefeated.  OU, Okie St, and Texas Tech with only one loss.  Lots of games left against each other.  Can anyone slow down Baylor?

ACC - FSU has basically wrapped up Div#1 with win over Clemson.  Div#2 has only the Hurricanes with no losses.  VaTech with only one.  Canes and VaTech play in two weekends... winner probably takes it.

Big10 - Ohio St basically has Div#1 wrapped up.  Div#2 has Sparty in the lead with no conference losses.  Michigan and Nebraska each with one.  Those three teams have yet to play each other... round robin could decide it.  Although keep in mind Michigan has to play Ohio St still so put down 2 conference losses for them.

American - UCF and Houston are the only undefeateds.  They play in two weekends.  Could decide it.  Our boy Bridgewater and Louisville have that loss to UCF which will hurt their chances.  They would love to see Houston knock out the Knights and then the Cards play Houston soon after.

MWC - West has Fresno St with no losses while SDSt, San Jose St, and UNLV each have one.  Fresno has beaten all of them San Jose St.  Fresno looking tough.  In the East youve got Boise St, Utah St, and Colorado St each with one loss.  Rams and Broncos play this weekend in Ft Collins.  Boise wins that and theyll coast to championship game... theyve already beaten Utah St.  Only a late season game at SDSt could slip them up.

Miss St. vs Scar has no interest. State is terrible. The Kentucky State game should be proof of that (if it wasn't for the bogus offsides call on the onside kick, Kentucky would have won) as well as the fact that Miss States stadium is 3/4 empty by half time

Baylor vs. Oklahoma

Quote:Baylor vs. Oklahoma
That will be a good one. Interesting to see how Oklahoma plays against Baylor after slowing down Kingsbury's Texas Tech offense
Baylor-OU is the week after next.  In fact its a thursday nighter on the new Fox Sports1.  That same thursday night is Stanford/Oregon as well.  Great night of action.

This week has a lot of teams with byes and not a ton of top matchups.  The weekend after next should be a great one.  Ive got a friend who is a member of the Gator Bowl association who is coming to Athens to scout the Dawgs for a possible Gator Bowl invite and wants me to give them the tour.  I think I may give them the tour of the bars so we can watch all the games.
