Quote:I dont if it hurts or helps the argument, but being an NFL fan who lives in London, I can tell you that the response was more for the 'NFL' than for the Jaguars. Any team that had a fan rally would attract 70k+ fans.
I watched the game last night at Wembley and there were over 80,000 people. 80,000 people to watch a winless team ........ that should tell you something about the appetite the UK has for NFL. Its easily more popular over here than the other American sports (your Basketball, Baseball and Hockey)
Having said that, they did try to make it a 'home' game for the Jags, all the annoucements were about the Jags ....... the entertainment was some group who I cant remember there names, but they played drums and Jags in their name I think.
So they definitely tried to make it a home game.
Your mascot bungee jumping from the top of Wembley was cool though!
Here's a question for you and/ or anyone else that attended the Jaguars game against the 49ers.
What would be your estimate of the percentage of Americans that were part of the overall crowd last Sunday? Including those that are currently living in Europe or are part of the U.S. Military.
