Quote:Incorrect, both teams can be solidified as 4th place teams before Jan 2.

The NFL does not officially announce it until after the season is over.
If you feed strays they will come back for more.

That should be your signature so you don't have to keep posting it.
I heard Shad has already set course with Kismet II for London because Gus Bradley is driving.

If the Jaguars,  Jets,  and Chargers all clinch last place before the season is over,  you can take it to the bank that the Jaguars will be playing the Jets and Chargers next season.

I wish we could stop playing against the Chargers. They seem to blow us out every year.

Of course I am not so worried about the Jets game.

What happens though if the Jaguars injury situation compared to the opponent is noticeably worse against the Jets than against the Chargers?

The Jets can't even beat teams with long injury reports.

Who knows in December, 2016 what the 2017 Jets will look like.

You can expect the Jets to have a QB problem. For all we know they might have a new HC. However they will get Eric Decker back.

Right now the Jets have a QB problem.  Look how things changed with the Cowboys QB situation from one year to the next.   The same with the Seahawks several years earlier.

Bryce Petty, Christian Hackenburg, and Geno Smith aren't going to be the next Russell Wilson or Dak Prescott. One of them might make a big leap next year with Ryan Fitzpatrick gone, but none of them are THE GUY.

Time will tell. Right now I just know the Jets are unlikely to do what the Cowboys did this year.

Those 3 Jets QBs aren't going to be rookies again.  The reason I mentioned Russell Wilson and Dak Prescott is both were mid round draft picks and went on to have a major positive impact as rookies.

I am sure in 2012 and 2016 draft redos, people would not list them as third day picks.

The opinion point I'm trying to make is plenty will change by the time the Jaguars face the Jets, Chargers, Ravens, and every other team on their 2017 season schedule.

Go back to the 2016 individual game predictions that were made before the season and compare them to what actually transpired by the time the Jaguars faced their first 12 opponents.   The rosters and relatively strengths of the teams changed substantially in most cases.   This happens practically every season.

That is one of the things that makes football so fun to watch and read about - unpredictability. Any Given Season.
