Report: Rams reached out to Brett Favre for quarterback job
All the speculating bloggers in all the mother's basements in all the land don't equal the insanity of a real live football team. Want proof? According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the St. Louis Rams reached out to Brett Favre, age 44, to see if the ol' gunslinger would be willing to holster up for one more ride.

Heh. Why not?

Brett Favre wisely is staying retired:

Now thats a LOL topic the dude is 44

Reading some of the quotes from that ESPN article on this was crazy. Dude can't remember extended time periods some times...

Tebow is out there. Maybe he can heal Bradford?

Am I the only one who said, "Wow, they're desperate and would still take a dude 3 years gone from the league before Tebow?"
It was reported by several reputable people on twitter that Favre never came up at all. The Rams were merely contacting Austin Davis' agent (who is also Favre's agent) and the major sports click/ratings whores jumped all over it and completely fabricated the reaching out to Favre story. Certainly not the first or the last time that ESPN/Yahoo/PFT/etc will completely twist a story for ratings.
