Quote:I don't think it's all that crazy but 0-16 is way more likely than 7-9 at this point.

If the light bulb comes on and they finally figure out how to score touchdowns the rest of the schedule has pretty winnable games (to a team that actually scores touchdowns that is).
What if that happens, do you hate the front office for not tanking for the first pick, do you support the team because they found a way to win. Its hard to decide. I said it was possible with the teams we face, if Fisch learns how to call a game and we actually score more then 1 touchdown do the bashers come out and say why woulndt you tank for teddy?

Mad? At your ridiculous cries for attention?

Pfffft.

I'd like an explanation of how the front office is expected to "tank" any more than they already are.  What more can they do?  They're already playing a bunch of rookies and their veterens aren't that good.   Do they send Blackmon/Shorts to IR?   Do they trade for Curtis Painter?

I do want them to get the 1st overall pick because of the comfort of controlling your own destiny, but it's not that big a deal the more I think of it.  Even if they don't get the #1 pick they can still end up having an excellent draft.  For instance, if they have this secret sleeper quarterback they are targeting and are able to trade down and get him , even maybe outside of the 1st round, while picking up a bunch of extra pieces with extra draft picks, I'm cool with that.
Charter-by-the-Sea has an opening to treat your addiction.

Quote:I dont want us to draft anymore Gibblets, Jokels, or Clowns....I'm fed up with bad draft picks....

I can't even take my kid to a Jaguar game because watching them only shows him how to lose... I don't want my kid to be a Bandwagon Patriots or Saints fan...I want him to go with dad to watch "Our team".... I can't let my kid watch the garbage on Everbank field...

Score some points... win some games... and I will bring my kid to the game to experience "a winning atmosphere,"

Until then.. we're going fishing on Sundays.
Congratulations!

You've been named this month's Pseudo Fan!

Never would have thought of the phony fan/phony excuse of - I don't want to expose my kid to such a negative experience.

Well done.

(By the way - how is it you have a kid when you appear to be 14?)
Quote:There's a chance Rosie O'Donnell could marry a man, but I wouldn't bank on it any more than I'd bet on the Jags winning 7 or 8 games this year.  Heck, I'm expecting a big goose egg at the end of the year in the win column.
Funny you should mention good ol' Rosie. Bibber fan is so afraid of a Jaguar win, that they are sweating the rest of the season worse than Rosie sweats in a buffet line.  :woot:

Poor kids...if you dont experience loosing how are you gonna know how great winning is? That's just setting your kids up for difficulty dealing with life later on. I'm not promoting loosing but I think its something in life you need to expierence to become stronger.
Quote:The point that all of the "tankers" forget or don't know is it is not necessary to sacrifice the present to have a better future. There is no guarantee we miss out on the top pick by winning 7 games. We don't have to give up as much as the Redskins did to solve our quarterback problem. We probably have 10 picks (one from the Lions and two from the Ravens plus one earned pick in each round). So we can trade up and still pick more than 7 players.
What does the present do for us if we win a few games? Winning seven games takes us from picking the BAP in the country, to picking the 16th BAP. We are not a middle of the pack team. We are bottom dwellers. We deserve some more high Draft picks after what Gene Smith did to this team.

Anyways, I'm much more of a fan of trading down and gaining draft selections, than for trading up and losing draft selections.

If you don't land the top pick, it's BAP or trade down IMO. I do not want us to trade up again like we did for Gabbert...

There isnt a win on that list.

lol 8-8

Slim chance in hell!
1-15......best case

I can't believe someone was dumb enough to start this thread.
