And Geno gets another late game win, but I want to point something out that I noticed
I find a real bias that goes on with the media and people out there, all we ever hear about with Geno Smith is turnovers but the kid has like 3 or 4 come back late drive wins this year.
Andrew Luck last year was 2nd in the NFL in turnovers behind Mark Sanchez, but we never heard anything about that last year, I didnt even know that stat until this year, but all we heard about was all the late game come backs by Luck.
Even with Geno turnover he bounces back from them and make plays, he doesnt fall apart like a lot of QB's he learns from his mistake something you want from a young QB.
Is it because Luck was hyped up coming out or other reasons that I wont mention right now but its just something I noticed and will keep an eye on as the season goes on.

It's the other reasons you won't mention right now.
I.E. He's a Jet.
He was criticized more than any qb I've ever seen entering the draft and that hasn't stopped. Just something he will have to continue to prove wrong.

I don't think its to do with Geno, just that everyone wanted to hype Luck whether his play warranted it or not
geno has a really good defense behind him and a decent running game. luck had neither.
and the comeback against tb was luck due to the penalty, and the one today, they ran the ball all but once in ot. so he has had 2 legit comeback wins. although even with his turnovers, hes playing really well based on where hes drafted, not to mention he has a subpar wr core.

There lucky plays happen every game dont give me that stuff, Jets was suppose to be a mess they were rated last in the ESPN preseason power ranking, Geno Smith is the biggest change that have, he deserve a lot of credit. My point is every week on sport shows all I ever hear about is how many turnovers Geno Smith has and this and that, when guys like Manning had 28 ints and Luck had 2nd most turnovers in the NFL as rookies. To me its those guys who dont wanna eat their crow who trashed him before the draft and during the draft trying to justify him going in the 2nd round and not the 1st.
I'm pretty sure they are gonna stop for awhile. They are right in that Geno is inconsistent, but when he's on, he can play just as good as any rookie qb in the past. What I like most about his attitude is that criticism doesn't faze him; he seems to comeback and perform better than the previous week where he was horrible.
If he can fix that, hell have a bright future.
I think it's those other reasons but we wont go there. Honestly they don't like the guy. They just don't care for how he carries himself. The jets were supposed to rival us as worse team in the league this year and are in the running for division champ so far. He has given that team quality talent at the position an the talking heads hate it. I will continue to root for him. It sucks we passed on the guy but hey maybe Caldwell has bigger plans.
To be fair, I don't know if Smith could do what he's doing for the jets if he plays for this team. Ultimately, it was the right decision to pass up on him with the 2nd pick. Though, I don't think I'd agree with passing on him in the 2nd round.
Right now, I'd say his best attribute is his mental toughness. He played three really bad games, but he always came back better and win.

Prior to the start of the season the Jets were in worse shape than we were. He really has no weapons and just beat Brady. Im sure if he was throwing to Short, Blackmon, Lewis, Brown and Ace he would be in the running for rookie of the year. Offensively we have better pieces than the Jets we just don't have a trigger man.

They are in worse shape on offense in terms of playmakers. But on defense, they are stacked.
Like I said, I wanted him even with the 2nd pick in the draft, but I'm still glad we didn't pick him there.
Geno is Vince Young 2.0. He's been winning games for the Jets with pretty mediocre numbers but once teams see more of him he'll fall into oblivion. I live in CT so I see the Jets games every week and nothing he does impresses me at all. He gets it done in the 4th tho! Can't hate on him for that, but it will come to an end.

Defensively they are stacked but their offensive weapons are no where near ours. And that's not saying much

Lol, hating much? Geno is on pace for 4k passing. VY couldn't sniff those numbers even if he wasn't on suicide watch.

Did he even throw the ball in overtime?
I'd say at this point he is making a lot of people eat crow, as a lot you like to say around here.
