Quote:The Falcons busted on a lot of picks and thought they were one or two players away from getting to the SB. They are the 2008 Jaguars now.

I thought the 2008 Jaguars were the Texans?
Quote:I wouldn't mind seeing that. Babin getting too many penalties and not enough sacks. But, not sure anyone would give us a pick for him. After all, we did get him off waivers.
I don't care about a pick.  So-so performance doesn't make up for stupidity.  We've got some talented young players and I don't want that poison in the locker room. As I said, time for Caldwell to make a statement.
Quote:Reminds me so much of the Jags two years ago. Something like 17 players on IR to finish the season.

It's indeed a brutal situation for an NFL team to be in.

Having said that,   I was wrong about the Bucs pulling off an upset.     As depleted as the Falcons are,    the Bucs are getting worse by the week.     If the Bucs lose to Carolina on Thursday Night,     it shouldn't surprise anyone if a Head Coaching change is made in Tampa.     Especially since they would have 10 days to get ready for their next game.

Unless the Falcons get at least some of their key injured players back soon,    I have serious doubts that they turned the corner despite their win over the Bucs.
Quote:Hmm, this is why you don't trade up?

My guess is the Falcons would still make the Julio Jones trade if they knew what would transpire.    However,   they are clearly making a strong case in why trading up from the lower part of Round 1 to the upper part of Round 1 is extremely risky.
