why do you guys talk about this everyday
Quote:Listen cupcake.  It takes a bigger man (or woman, I'm not sure how you chose to identify as this week) to hurt my feelings on the internet.

The bottom line is, there is nothing wrong with what he said, yet you start this stupid thread trying to make it out to be more than it was.
Why did it take him 4 years and becoming the worst coach in NFL history to take responsibility for something?

Just passin time till the offseason.. So excited!!
Quote:If he wanted to do the right thing he would resign.  Knowing the longer he stays the worse it is for the franchise.

I would disagree with that.  The franchise would probably suffer worse if something like that went down.  I agree with Kahn for sticking with him until the end of the season.  I don't think that he will still be employed by the Jaguars at the end of the season, but to do it now would be a huge mistake.

No it doesn't, but it does show character in admitting when you screwed up.  Being accountable and being able to admit mistakes is a very good trait to have.  There is nothing wrong with that, yet the point of this thread is to mock that certain trait.
I don't think he's a bad guy and some of the rancor thrown his way is comically overboard.  But he is a bad coach.  Historically bad in fact and the Jags will be better off when he's gone.

What if the kid behind the counter at Stone Cold Creamery is actually an assassin sent to take Bradley out? Would we be sad?

The thread is mocking Gus Bradley as a football coach. As a man most would agree Bradley is a genuine and stand up guy despite his incredible lack of coaching prowess.

Khan has done great things with the team/city but he has failed big-time in football operations so far.  Khan should have fired him 2 seasons ago and at worst case after last season.

And could you elaborate on how it would be a huge mistake to fire Bradley now (not that they are going to)?  Your hubby will still get paid his contract $ through next season anyway.  And there will be no adverse impact to the players by getting rid of a clown of a coach (nice guy/horrible coach).

And character?  He's the #154 coach out of 154 with a .237 winning %.  Being accountable and admitting mistakes?  Character has nothing to do with this and at some point you (any decent man) needs to admit that they aren't cut out for a particular task, job, etc.  With his consistent performance (or lack of over the last 4 years) he could have manned up to the owner and resigned before now.  That would be admitting your mistakes!

He's the worst coach in the history of the NFL and just taking the owner's money at this point.

Like what? How would we suffer worse? Already on a 6 game losing skid and it doesn't look promising the rest of the way. So please tell me how not canning him now will hurt this franchise more? 14-45. Pretty telling numbers.
Quote:So the guy takes responsibility knowing that his time is up, yet message board posters still [BAD WORD REMOVED] about it.

Hey, people like to whine.

Like they think they would be saying something else.

I don't get it. People think these little meetings with the press are real? About as real as many posters are with their wives or girlfriends.

This is why I feel the organization needs a "President of Football Operations"

I think Khan is a good owner just not a football guy
Don't worry when we lose to Denver, some one will start another BB5 sucks, fire Gus thread. How many do we have now? About 80 each?

"we can build on"

The only thing I love about this man is how he has stolen millions from khan

I've always wondered why people mispronounced hara kiri and made it sound like Harry Carrey instead.  The two sound nothing alike, but Americans pronounce it like the guy's name anyway.

But back to responsibility...

So where did Gus take it?  For a long walk on the beach?
Seems like my man Gus is manning up; man.

"You know what...you're right."

Perhaps the single thing I dislike the most outside of "Jag-wires"

I hear him say that and it sounds like it's the first time he's ever considered whatever basic entry level softball question the questioner tossed to him.
