If Gabbert doesn't make it back soon we are going to win a couple games and lose Bridgewater. I'm glad to see we're improving but the last thing we need is to draft another second tier QB. Gabbert better get back fast or we are going to be stuck with Boyd or Hundley.
Don't worry, Henne will keep us competitive by blindly throwing to Blackmon, but won't make the plays late to actually get us a win.

I don't think Henne will win either. This game was more a product of our defense than our offense.

I want us to get the #1 pick but I don't ever want to see Gabbert behind center ever again.

I can't endure more Gabbert. Please keep Henne there.

If we had Boyd today we win or come closer to it.
Henne needs to get a nudge nudge wink wink injury like Shorts and go on IR,,,,,as does Blackmon......save Blackmon till next year when it matters.

I agree.

At least Henne puts up games with the potential of being entertained.
Henne has won one game as a Jaguar. I don't think we're winning with or without him. He makes the games more interesting but he isn't changing the outcome.

"Saving" players is what winning teams do, and moves like that are made by overly cautious coaches.

I would wait until we actually win a game before we starting thinking like that. Going 0-16 will hurt this franchise.
I just don't want to go 0-16. We can win 1, maybe even 2 games and still get Bridgewater... I just can't stomach going 0-16.

Gabbert can get us the #1 pick, but the fact that we drafted him with our 1st pick in 2011 hoping that he would have been our franchise QB, and watching him play as sorry as he does, is like rubbing salt on our wounds. No thanks!
Hennes lock on mode to Blackmon hurts is just as much as it helps. He will throw 2 picks per game because of this playstyle.

Blackmon was open on that first pick, just a terrible throw. He also forced the ball to JB when he could have ran for a TD. Henne gets to many balls batted at the line of scrimmage and is always good for multiple questionable decisions.
I'm so proud of my team. win, lose, or draw we are jaguars!

Henne is the perfect QB for this team. He's just good enough for Blackmon and Shorts to develop, yet he is horrible in the red zone and can't throw any TDs so we'll still lose.

Uh, no. Kind of hard for Blackmon to develop on IR.

screw that I need blackmon for my fantasy
Ok Ok, let's all calm down.  No reason to go nutz over here.  Even if we win 1 or 2 games, we'll still be picking 2nd or 3rd at the worst.  We'll be getting a top tier prospect this year, let's enjoy this realization.

Our team will definately be tough to beat next year.  Heck, we might even contend for the AFC South!  houston is in major disaray, the tacks just don't look legit to me, it's gonna be us and the clots fighting for the #1 spot for the next 10 years.

I feel really good about our future after this week.

Not to go all "TMD" on you guys (no offense to angry hound himself  ) but I remember saying this is exactly why Henne should've been the starter going into the season.

But people had this weird idea that Gabbert was better. Henne makes this team better by actually giving the receivers a chance to develop. You can see the lethargy in all of the receivers' play when Gabbert is tossing the rock.

I remember using it as my reasoning for wanting him to finish out the rest of last season

Where did i say Henne is "the guy", I swear you apologist see things one way. With any luck neither Henne or Gabby will be starting next year, what is abundantly clear though is that Henne is a far better QB than Gabby. With Henne in there we get a better evaluation of the line, the backs, and the receivers, with Gabby out there we get what we should already know, is that he isn't a NFL starter."
