Quote:Jaguars G.M. David Caldwell has said he won’t trade running back Maurice Jones-Drew.

It’s possible that the rest of that statement should be “for a bowl of soup and an ugly hat." Per a league source, a deal would indeed be done, at the right price.
Question is who would trade for a banged up rb past his prime soon to be a free agent in 11 games?

to quote the niners... NOBODYYYYYYY

Man it was sweet to watch that stiff arm he gave at the end of the 28 yard run. Somebody should GIF that.

Only way I can see this happening is if a contendor gives up a 6th round pick, which is unlikely.

Just need an injury to happen then its very much possible.

Agreed, but if anyone would make an offer Dave should jump on it

I think they would trade MJD for anything but a 7th round pick.

I think this should be a given. I just don't expect anyone to rush to give us anything for him.

Maybe that's why they've been so insistently forcing him the ball, try to establish any value at all?
Hes still getting up to speed I think. Our line isn't good either, but he is starting to make people miss again. Hes only a broken tackle or 2 away from some big gains today. I think it will come.

before today i thought denver was a possible candidate... but moreno looke formidable today so i dont know if that would be a good move on their part... manning and mjd sounded like a pretty tough pair to prepair for but mojo looked less productive than knoshawn today

Any player can be traded if the price is right.

That's what I took from this. Just Florio being thirsty for clicks, as usual.
I think we could get a 4th & a 5th for him :whistling:

Exactly... This is a non-story - as usual.
Meh. No story here.

Not surprising, and still very different from "shopping" a player.

Also, for those interested, here is the non-mobile version of the article.

Exactly. That dudes a joke.

Edit: BTW Stop going to PFT people, that place is garbage. That Florio dude sucks, quit paying his paycheck.

Unless the first offer is a 6th Wink
