Has anything like this happened before?  Wonder what the NFL will end up doing.

If they're really serious about the safety of their players they wouldn't allow it to be played in Tampa.
I've never heard of MRSA and had no idea this was going on.   But when I hear stuff like this I can't help but think Tampa Bay is going to be picking 1st overall in 2014.

What does the location have to do with it? They can spread disease in Philadelphia too.

If MRSA was a reason to cancel a game, players would not be allowed to play whenever they get any kind of contagious disease, just like they can't play with concussions.

Concussions aren't contagious

Learn how to read. I was only comparing the fact that concussed players are not allowed to play.

You should probably consider taking a deep breath and doing your jazz finger exercises.

What is that supposed to mean? I had never heard of jazz finger exercises.

Back on topic, I can't believe the NFLPA would even consider this. The NFL does whatever it can to make sure regular season games are not canceled.
Mrsa is a very contagious and deadly disease.  If it's not properly contained, then a lot of people could end up with it, and you'd end up with a lot more games being canceled.  The Buccaneers have handled this situation VERY poorly, and I think the league should absolutely do something about it.

I agree.

It's ridiculous how long this has been going on for. If the Bucs are not gonna do anything, the league best step in and take care of it. I think it's totally messed up how poorly the Bucs have handled this. What do they think it's just gonna go away on its own? They need to nuke the facilities with chemicals or something.

I'm surprised the facilities weren't decontaminated a month or so ago when it all started. You'd expect more from an NFL team.
