It's obvious Scobee is not giving the effort that Gabbert and others on the team are.   If you all notice on the radio, Gus always commends Gabbert on the effort he is giving but never once mentioned anything about Scobee's effort.

Personally, I'm looking for Scobee to pull a J. Clowney move and sit himself for the critical Denver Bronco road game.

I heard the rift was caused by a locker room coup led by Anger and Prosinski.
Quote:We have to cut Scobee, this dispute cant be allowed to continue.

The feud can not continue.  What if we fired Bradley and made Scobee a Player/Head Coach??
Quote:I don't see any links in the OP to prove the claims a Bradley/Scobee feud divided the locker room.

Could the horrible play calling be caused by the fact that Bradley is a former defensive coordinator? You guys criticized JDR, also a former DC, for some of our problems on offense.

Classic
Our former coach knew how to deal with kickers.

That's a great point and I thought of the same thing as well. I think the biggest issue would be having a support staff in place to coach the team when Scobee is on the field kicking, which would happen a lot more (extra points and kick offs) if he were the head coach. If we completely overhauled our coaching staff, I could see this happening but I can't see Bradley's guys being loyal to Scobee in this current scenario.

The problem with Scobee being a player coach would be him stopping every drive in the red zone, in order to pad his stats with field goals. 3 > 1, every time.
It is EXTREMELY unusual for a coach to substitute an interception for a field goal.

You are right - this feud cannot continue.  I will also add, with Gabbert throwing pick sixes, we are also denying our punter valuable stats.

What is it with Bradley and special teamers?  Where did he get this chip on his shoulder?

I cannot tell you how happy I am that someone else had the same reaction I did.  This first post in this thread needs to turn into one of those chain emails.

I was furious - livid - when Gus took those points off the board.  It was so clear he had another agenda.  And to put the ball in Gabbert's hands at such a pivotal juncture... that's just not rational decision making.

I can only hope there's some way of resolving this, man to man.  Because, frankly, I'm concerned that Del Rio is just the kind of mastermind who will exploit the rift. Anytime Scobee comes out on the field to kick a field goal, he'll know exactly how to play us.  Just jump offside and put the ball back in Gabbert's hands.

The odds of a turnover are, I'd wager, better than 4/7 - which is what you'd need to break even by giving up another down rather than allowing Scobee to make his field goal.

Del Rio might exploit the rift or even worse RECRUIT Scobee to the Broncos!  This is out of hand!!

Great Point!

This may go back further then we thought.  I don't remember this registering at the time.  Why did Gus bring in a rookie kicker in to training camp?

Not getting into the feud thing but I couldn't believe it when Bradley took the points off the board. Seriously? I don't think he has a full grasp of what his offense is not capable of doing.

While I appreciate your input, the feud is clearly why he took the points off of the board. There is clearly no other logical explanation. Obviously, if Scobee kicks the field goal, we get back in the game and then win it, Scobee gets all of the credit. Doesn't our head coach realize that he too would get some of the credit???
This joke is 91% over.

I am absolutely not a troll and resent this accusation!!! Just because I am willing to think at a higher level and am willing to point out some things that are blatantly obvious, don't be rude!
meh

At first I thought that Bradley was just saving the leg of his most potent weapon. Then I realized that he already used the weapon. The weapon had been fired, and now Bradley is attempting to put the bullet back into the gun.

YOU NEVER PUT THE BULLET BACK INTO THE GUN!

I wonder if this is all part of a bigger conspiracy. What if Bradley and Scobee are collaberating. What if they have made a pact to tank the season to get the first overall pick. It makes perfect sense. Then, they could take the best available kicker with the first pick of the draft, and be able to groom him into the weapon that Scobee has been over the years.

It makes perfect sense! Scobee goes to coach, Bradley becomes Jaguars President, and the #1 overall pick (who will be a kicker!) will be the savior of the franchise in the new age!
