I keep hearing and reading everyone wanting to suck in order to draft Teddy or some other QB. My problem is that isn't a guarantee! We have no idea what Teddy will be in the NFL.

We just sucked in order to draft Blaine...............how did that work out? How many other teams have drafted QB's in the 1st round and not had any luck?

I'd much rather go the Saints route and sign a PROVEN player...

And which proven player should we sign?

So you're scared to draft a QB because Gabbert didn't work out?

Ok, genius. If you're so smart, tell me which proven veteran QB we should sign in the offseason.

LOL this.

Dumb thread is dumb.
MATT FLYNN 2014

We didn't suck for Gabbert.

But my god do I wish we would've finished better to remove Gabbert being drafted from the realm of possibility

I say we never draft another player ever again... too risky.
What would Teddy Mean For The Jaguars?   ....hope.  With Gabbert and Henne, there is no hope.

If Bridgewater isn't twice as successful as Gabbert in the NFL I'll eat my shoe.
The QB fear is real. You can't be afraid to take a QB just cause the last one didn't work out. Bridgewater is 10000x better than Blaine. Of course every player has a possibility of being a bust, but I think it's highly unlikely for Bridgewater. Blaine was a project when he was drafted. He mainly drafted for his potential. Wasn't even that good in college. 16 TDs and 9 INTs his senior year. I still remember when he finished the Texas Tech game with only 95 yards.

We were one game away from a division title. Our starting QB had just gone 8-5 and set a new single season franchise TD pass record.

thats not very succesful

I get the joke - but, yeah,  it would actually be successful.

44 TDs and 8,600 yds in 28 games.

That's 307 yards per game and 1.6 passing TDs per game.   That'll win some football games.

Actually, not really. We drafted 16th overall that year, which is "average". We had to trade up to the 10th overall spot in order to grab Blaine Gabbert, but we didn't "suck" in order to draft Blaine.
How did the " Suck for Luck" campaign turn out for the Clots?      I'm in Campaign mode now....I'm  "Ready For Teddy 2014"

* True Franchise QB

* Poise

* Accurate

* Pocket Presence

* Leadership

* Great Foot work

Great QB's make the players around them better,  and that's what he'll do with the 2014 Jaguars...We finish 7-9 - 2014 with TB as the QB.  In 2015 We challenge for the AFC South Crown.

I can't stop watching your sig, best one yet! thank you!
Why couldnt you just post this in the countless other Teddy threads.

Your logic of not wanting to draft a QB high because of Gabbert is hilarious though.

Oh ya, because there are just tons of QBs as skilled as Drew Brees hanging out on the waiver wire.  Why didn't we think of this before?
