Quote:Is this a real thread? Considering who started it I'm not surprised.
Don't be so condescending when you're the one who started a thread about shoes. Ugly [BAD WORD REMOVED] ones at that.
Quote:The defense is hardly the problem. What do you expect from a unit that is spending a majority of the game on the field?
Time of possession:
Mullets - 35.19
Jags - 24.41
This is the best TOP the Jags have had this season also.
They are starting a lot of rookies and players new to the system. All things considered, they have done a respectable job. 3/4 of the secondary is playing at best their fifth regular season game.
They are holding their own and will only get better.
Actually against Seattle, Kansas City and Oakland the Time of Possession was a little better
Kansas City - 31:48 to Jacksonville 28:12
Oakland - 31:30 to Jacksonville 28:30
Seattle - 32:35 to Jacksonville 27:25
We're only starting one rookie on defense? I guess if you count Evans as a starter you can call it two rookies but not 3/4 of the secondary.
The defense is still a big problem.
The whole team is a problem. The D has been bad. That was shown by letting the 2 nd worst team in the NFL improve their stats. The Rams had no run game until the kitties came to town. The Jags were in one score of a tie game after a Henne TD pass. What happens? Rams march down the field and score. The Rams marching down the field hasn't been uttered all year. Until yesterday.
This is the team that the new regime has decided to field. It is what it is.
