He lost his #1 WR Malcom Mitchell earlier in the season and lost his #1 RB Todd Gurley for this week. During the early part of the game his #2 RB Keith Marshall left with a knee injury and didn't return. He was forced to have two freshman running backs fill their roles. Soon later he lost his #2 and #3 WR's for the game but still found ways to make plays on the spot. This guy is a leader and makes thing happen if anything. I'm not saying the guys worth our first round pick nor do I want him that high but dang does he show patience and makes thing happen on key drives. Thats things NFL teams look at when they are drafting.
His draft stock is rising.
Definitely a name to watch out for

Just another 3rd or 4th round prospect. If he didn't have such a long tenure as the starting QB at an SEC school, nobody would be talking about him.
I like Murray and if I was a college coach, he is the exact kind of quarterback I would want. I just see him as a solid but never spectacular prospect on the next level. I don't know if he will ever be more than a Matt Schaub/Andy Dalton type. A guy that can lead you to 10 wins a year, maybe a division title if things falls in place but never make you a real Super Bowl contender.
I think Murrary is going to be mid draft guy. He is pretty good though. Don't see him going in the first two rounds though.

Yup all the way to the 4th or possibly the 3rd. I'd like the Jags to take a flyer on him to be our Kirk Cousins to Teddy.

Rather not. Teddy ideally won't get hurt because he's not a read-option guy like RG3. We should be spending the 2nd day picks on other premium positions, especially offensive linemen to ensure that Teddy doesn't get slaughtered.
3rd day pick?
Sign me up.
I do not care if he continues to play well after losing a lot of teammates. That means nothing when you are talking about vision, arm strength, velocity, agility, eye-hand coordination, speed, football IQ, leadership, attention to detail, work ethic, and personality. Now of course not all quarterbacks are good in all of these areas, but the more of them you have, the better you should be as a quarterback in the NFL, and some of them are required to even be decent. I would like to see how well you can judge Aaron Murray on these qualities when he is playing with backups..

I was under the impression that if a qb does what the op described and raised the level of play of those around him, such a quality is desirable. I mean that's what Tom Brady has done all year.made the people around him look better, and what better way to see that in a college about than to have everyone he's been practicing with the entire time removed from the game and 4th and 5th strings put in. I like him and if his acl brings him to the fourth use one of our picks on him.but I think someone will take him in the third

Another Andy Dalton reference! Did I miss the memo which says you have to use Dalton as some sort of example of - what?
The guy's not been in the league long enough to be an example of anything - other than he's won plenty of games.
And I always find it amusing when someone on the Jaguars message board - the Jaguars, home of the failed QB - uses the Dalton condescending tone.
Priceless.
+1 kyjaggy is the biggest agenda pushing person on the board. Really trying to get some steam behind the term "QB purgatory"

Pardon me for wanting to win Super Bowls. Have fun being content with QB purgatory dudes. Those one and done playoff teams sure will be awesome!
I think the Bengals are going to mske sone noise this post season..judging a guy as someone who isn't going to win you a super bowl this early in his career? Nuts

You are right; people are nuts. Before Andy Dalton was drafted, some board members heaped a lot of criticism on him including his red hair. Uh, what? Of all things they had to talk about his hair? So I always knew the Dalton haters were nuts.
After the Bengals picked Dalton, OC Jay Gruden said he likes him better than Blaine Gabbert. Now we know why.

"QB purgatory"! You responded so quickly. Have you register the term yet?
I guess you've been with Oklahomie and TMD and borrowed their Magic 8 Ball. If we don't get your QB there is no hope.
QB purgatory! Oh no!
