like others have said, he will probably want to play for a team that has a chance, even for less money.

Well you know it takes most players a year to get back up to speed after a lis franc injury... With an full off season he will regain some of the old mjd for about 2 years.. Broncos,Pats, or Packers. Obviously he's not fully Recovered
Honestly they should really limit his carries to preserve him. I really feel like Caldwell genuinely wants to bring him back.
Yes let him go. The guy is dead weight at this point. Get what you can even if its a 5th or 6th. The Raven got rid of aging Reed and Boldin this year and they are far more productive. Do what's best for the team. There's no room for loyalty at this point. Its not like he helped us win a Super Bowl.
For everyone saying he's done, he's averaging 0.88 yards per carry before contact this year.

Tell me one running back, outside of maybe AP, that could produce anything with an offensive line like that.

Please tell me how 2-2 with serious issues on both sides of the ball is far more productive than a team that won the Super Bowl?

I meant that Reed and Boldin are far more productive than MJD at this point.

Oh.

Disagree on Reed.
More than likely
If the league's teams, including the Jags, only offer him a mimimal deal, he will leave and take the offer with a team with a chance at a ring, or back to the California area.

It might be his last month.  And hopefully so.

He's become a slow, tentative turd.

Quote:When people pose questions such as that in the OP, I wonder if anybody else really understands what's going on with this team.

Looks like there are people that's 50/50 on the choice.  The team wants him back, but the fans think he walks.
Mr. "It's just a business" needs to be relocated.

No joke, this could be MoJo's last game as a Jag. That's how it'll be every week with the way that Caldwell is going. Just the way the NFL is.

Who's that girl?
MJD should have been traded before the season... Off field issues, not taking care of his body in the off season, injury prone age.... Seemed like an easy call to me.... Caldwell just allowed MJD's trade value to diminish by allowing him to play when he is trying to get as many draft picks as he possibly can... First mistake of many..

yeah, I'd like to see him dealt this month too.

Unlike with the Monroe deal though, I'll take whatever I can get here. He's older, declining and will need a new deal.

How does his value increase without any tape post injury? Not to mention you have zero knowledge of if they tried to move him or not.

MJD would need a walker or a Rascal, when this team will be ready to compete. I say, it's best for him to chase the ring elsewhere.

....he just about needs one now.
