I wanted to post a site with some of the top free agents

http://nflsfuture.com/2013/08/13/2014-nf...-agents/2/

You know J. Graham get resigned but the guys I hope we go after are

pass rushers

1. Michael Johnson, DE, Cin.

2.Brian Orakpo, DE, Wash

Center

1. Alex Mack, C, Cle.

2. Brian De La Puente, C, NO

OG

1. John Asamoah, OG, KC

RT

1. Micheal Oher, RT, Bal

CB.

1. Brandon Browner, CB, Sea

2. Alterraun Verner, CB, Ten.

These are my top free agents I hope we go after If we could just sign a couple of these guys I would be happy.

I wouldn't be surprised if we our FA is small again. Players still don't want to come here and Caldwell won't overpay

I think we can at least pull one of those guys.

No
Monroe was listed at the 7th best available free agent of the entire league for this upcoming offseason...and with Geno Atkins signed, that bumped him up to 6th overall.

Good thing we were able to get that generous return from the Ravens in that trade...

For what it's worth, only eight left tackles have a worse rating than Eugene Monroe's -3.6 season rating on Pro Football Focus.

He is 24th this year and doesn't fit scheme.

that suggests that Monroe's dropoff from this year to last year is scheme related and less of an issue with general player decline. Thus, shouldn't necessarily have been traded at a discount.

It suggests that Ozzie Newsome also knew/ was privy to why Monroe was having a down year too, and he made a calculated lowball offer to the rookie GM and wound up stealing Monroe.

Yep, that's it. You know more the value than Caldwell. Brown was traded for a late round pick. Clearly the value of a LT isn't what you think it is.
Ozzie is a great GM but that Flacco contract is highly suspect.

No, he does not make mistakes.

So we should just keep him the rest of the year and get nothing?  Smart move genius.
I think we'll actually go fairly big in free agency next year.  Once we get our QB, he'll start bringing in talent.  Put Bridgewater the QB he selects in the best position to succeed.

i would love to grab micheal oher but 9 times out of 10 he will be resigned or a better team will grab him

If we continue to follow Seattle's plan then it's gonna be another couple years of stockpiling picks and developing our core. After that is looking solid we will go bigger in FA when it's time to challenge for the playoffs. Don't expect much in FA now.

Player still don't want to come here? Players love Florida. There is no state income tax.
The only player that I would probably throw money at off that list is Alex Mack. We are going to need to beef up this line to protect Teddy.
Will Gus make a push for Browner??  He's shown a penchant for recruiting from his connections in Seattle.

Obviously positions like G and C will need to be addressed.

I found this site on the Bengals talking about how much Michael Johnson should make

http://boards.bengals.com/showthread.php?t=107238

Lol they are talking 5 yrs 45 mil is too much lol

They havnt seen our contracts, 9 mil a year is cheaper than what we would pay Poz. Lewis will almost make that next year. I would do that in a sec.

At the end of the year when we cut some of these bad contracts we will have the money to sign some of these guys and still be a one of the top 5 teams with the most cap space.  When we start cutting some of these contracts we will have to spend the money somewhere.

I'd add Sean Lee too, maybe Jeremy Maclin but I don't know what his injury was (oh wait, we've got Justin Blackmon!).

How about a tough mauler in the OL, Richie Incognito is coming free- give him some short guaranteed money and let him teach the OL draft picks his ways, then cut him and lock the doors. Maybe he could be a mentor to Blackmon.

I hope that list was just a list (and not by any quality measure) as they had Drew listed at 20 out of 50, ahead of people like Aqib Talib (#29).
