Quote:I saw quite a fee plays where blackmon was inside and sanders outside (lined up on the same side of the field).
Yep.  Surprised me.  He was in the slot for the TD pass.
Quote:Is your opinion changing on both Gabbert and Blackmon? Seemed you needed to switch your love affair and you would have had it right.

No, I've always said that Blackmon will be a good player. I just think he was drafted too high. If he were a #5 overall level of WR he'd be making the Jaguars QBs look passable. As it is he more than holds his own, but he's not keeping defensive coordinators up at night.

As for Gabbert, I already said last week I think I've seen enough. He has some tools, but he seems to be missing something.

Finally you have come to your senses regarding Gabbert. But im with you on your assessment of Blackmon. If he was drafted in the 15-25 range he would be living up to expectations. Number 5 overall WRs NEED to have elite speed. Blackmon is more of a posession guy, not that thats a bad thing. Him, Shorts, and Ace all complement each other perfectly though so im not too upset.

Come to my senses? No, I just wanted more to evaluate him on. I feel like I've seen his development cease. Maybe another team salvages him years down the road, who knows. I just know that I've personally seen enough to think he's not going to overcome his problem areas before the team replaces him.

That said I'd still rather see him play than Henne if only to make sure the Jaguars get the #1 draft spot.

No, no he is not.  Guys speed is fine and has a great knack for juking out defenders.  He is the real deal.
Blackmon ran a 4.4 at the Oklahoma State proday. He was clocked anywhere from 4.41 to 4.48

People are really questioning his speed? Lol.
