Do we have enough ammo to flip a two 4ths and a 5th to get in the third round if, let's say, a Eric Ebron, Lache Seastrunk, or Dominique Easley slips to the third? Do we have enough?
Or even the second rounder for a a third and two fourths?
we need to root for the Ravens to lose.
perhaps Flacco will tear his acl this week.
we have a lot of ammo in the draft if we want to move up

...resulting from a missed block by Monroe :woot:
Hey....if we're gonna go there, might as well go all in!!!

That's the plan.
Dave: Alright, we need you to go to Baltimore, and miss some blocks. Not too many!
Eugene: Okay.
Dave: Tell them you'll sign a long term contract when the season is over. Then when we're done... come back, and we'll give you a great contract. You'll then be blocking for Teddy Bridgewater!
Eugene: Understood Mr. Caldwell. I'll do what I can.
Dave: MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Are we really talking about trading into the 3rd round now? We have no idea who all the 3rd round prospects are gonna be yet, man this season is so bad

Other teams are on to us, that's why Indy refused the trade.
My guess is no. If those two picks we just acquired is the ammo they will prob be somewhere in the middle of the draft. It just doesn't add up in the value chart.

The way they've played so far it might not take anything that drastic.
According to the new trade value chart, to trade into the mid 3rd we would need to give up a mid 4th and 2 mid 5ths. I would rather keep those picks.
I know lots of people are used to Genes mid round picks, but other teams find good value in them from time to time. This team needs as much help as it can get, I would like to see those picks be spent on different positions to help fortifty all of our weaknesses.
And being realistic, we probably wont be traing away 2 picks this year. MAYBE there could be a deal where we give up 1. its clear the Caldwell really values draft picks, unlike Gene who kept them for players who didnt work out. So

I can totally see Caldwell moving up. If there's someone he likes late in the 3rd - why not trade the 2 Baltimore picks for a chance at a contributor instead of a project?

We don't need to know who all of the third round prospects are. Some second round prospects can drop into the third. Some fourth round prospects can rise to the third. Some players are projected as a second to fourth or third to fifth round pick. So it really is not possible to guess all 32 third round picks.

Its not just "potential competitor vs project" It would take 3 draft picks to move into the 3rd. But if the right player is there I suppose it could happen.
