Quote:As I've been saying all over the place, Mettenberger is going to be gone by our second round pick.thats gonna be a lot of qbs going in the first round, assuming all if not, the top qb prospect declares.
But no, he's not in Teddy's tier.

I want Teddy 1st, a center or guard in the second, Ronald Powell/Easley in the third, Mett with one of the fourth rounders.

Quote:Im hoping Mettenberger doesnt keep improving too much. 1st round take Bridgewater, 2nd round take Mettenberger.... let them battle it out.
I like the way you think. The Chargers had a situation with Brees and Rivers. RG3 and Counsins are in the same situation. Hasselbach and Favre (which Brett was always the starter). It just means that you take the best QB and trade the other one for more picks. Which an elite QB will always warrant a 1st or 2nd round pick.
With the Jags being in full rebuilding mode, then there is not much to lose with drafting 2 good QBs

Boyd (Top 10)
Hundley (Top 10)
Mett (Top 20)
Manziel (Top 20) - Someone will fall in love with him.

Quote:Teddy (First overall)I actually don't love Boyd. I think he might fall out of the 1st round. Other than his fantastic LSU game last year his cutups are pretty uninspiring.

I agree with you. I'm not really sold on anyone outside of Bridgewater. Alot of the QBs have some awesome potential, but also high bust factors.

I think Mettenburger will be the steal of the draft. He may have the highest ceiling, but also may be the most risky QB in the draft. He isn't the most polished prospect and can use some work but the talent is there. If not for his off the field issues he may have been a lock for top 10 in the draft. But character issues that get you kicked out of school raises serious questions, especially for the guy who will be the face of your franchise. His best bet would to go to a team with a strong locker room and an already established QB where he won't be under pressure to start immediately and be "The Man" and have a chance to polish his skillset. He could be the next Aaron Rogers if he ended up somewhere like New England or in Denver.
