Nothing like you would imagine the #2 overall draft pick (at a non-skill position that typically either lives up to advance billing or busts) would ever look.

Better than cam bradfield and guy whimper.

That's not the measuring stick for #2 overall.

Tough question. He has looked both good at times, and bad at times.
I think overall, he's doing fine with transitioning to the NFL, and making a position switch.
Is he a guy that is making those around him better? At this point, no. The guy isn't Boselli. Can he be good or even great down the road, certainly.
It's sort of a work in progress, and unfortunately, we'll all have to just wait and see how it all plays out.

Lineman dont really make the others around them better, for example Monroe can play lights out but thats not going to stop Rackley getting bull rushed 5 yards back. Most of the time lineman have 1 on 1 battles, and the better man wins.

We took a Right Tackle (non premium position) at #2 overall. Players taken that high are supposed to be immediate starters (check) and should look at a minimum serviceable doing so. (So far check). Now is the time where I would expect him to elevate his game a bit above serviceable.

I am kinda curious to see if his game improves being moved back to his regular position. He hasn't played horrible but not what you would want out of you 2nd overall pick. I think he picks his game up over the next couple of weeks. It could be easier said than done though with Rackley next to him. Thoughts?

Saw this coming the second they drafted Luke. Monroe was clearly getting not resigned, cut, or traded. My dad and I were just talking the other day that Luke needed to be moved to LT.

Even so right now won't make a world of difference sides him getting more playing time.

A LT NOW. Just hope his play justifies his selection and the trade for Monroe.

So far, not very good at all. +0.1 pass blocking grade and -4.6 run blocking grade from PFF. Monroe was +1.1 and also -4.6 respectively so he wasn't really doing too hot for his standards thus far either.
Switching back to his familiar LT should help Joeckel though, and he was a sterling prospect so I expect rapid improvement.

Also this helps ensure we get the 1st overall pick

I imagine he will play much better at LT.
