Jack Del Rio also had a younger in better shape Maurice Jones-Drew. A younger Brad Meester at Center. Del Rio also only won 3 games that year, because he was fired before we got the other 2. If we had 2011 MJD I imagine we'd have a win right now. Marcedes Lewis also played 15 games that year. So far he's played 1 this year.

Sanders and Todman? The rest of the WR group? Young and inexperienced at TE, interior line depth, and FB/RB depth.

We had too many 4-12, 7-9 seasons....we kept getting middle of the pack picks (oh, and missing on them!)
A top 10 pick is NOT "middle of the pack." There are 32 teams. When we picked Eugene Monroe at #8, most teams were still waiting their turns in Round 1. Going 4-12 did not hurt us one bit in the draft because we only had to give up a fourth round pick to leapfrog the Rams for Justin Blackmon at #5. If you want to complain about the middle-of-the-pack picks, you are talking about the wrong team.

Being the worst team in the NFL is much better than being the second, or third worst team in the NFL. That's a fact of parity with the draft system.
Another brilliant genius move by the Caldwell. Monroe was actually showing some talent out there. Dave would not allow talent to possibly jepardize our first pick. Pure genius. Be thankful that we are witness to a beautiful mind at work.
