Any QB is better than Gabbert/Henne/Scott
Cut them all.
1. Draft Bridgewater first overall. He is the best quarterback prospect in the 2014 Draft
2. With Michael Vick, Nick Foles and, let's say, Marcus Mariota is drafted for the Philadelphia Eagles to run Chip Kelly's offense, Jaguars trade a 5th for Matt Barkley
Or:
3. Zach Mettenberger in the 5th
4. Let Gabbert fight for his job
Bridgewater and Barkley sounds a lot better than Gabbert and Henne

If Philadelphia decided to keep Vick and Foles, and still draft Mariota, wouldn't they just cut ties with Barkley? That way, we could have him for essentially nothing.
Barkley has such an incredibly low ceiling I don't really see the point. Draft 2 QBs. Mettenberger will be gone by the 5th round though. He will probably creep up into the 3rd if not 2nd round.
I don't exactly understand this post. But Johnny Hall of Fame is the answer!!! :woot:
btw, what is Braxton Miller's draft situation? There is something about this guy...
Why have a bunch of rookie and 1st year QBs? Draft a QB high, sign a solid vet to back him up, keep Scott and maybe another younger camp arm

I was thinking this exact same thing, well as far as having Bridgewater in the starting spot and Mettenberger as the backup. I do agree with vagrantwade concerning Mettenberger though as Mettenberger has looked fairly decent this year. With his current level of play combined with his prototypical height, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he is a late 2nd/3rd round prospect. However if we were to snatch him up as the backup i'd be ecstatic. Getting a backup QB in the draft is not a top priority by any means, but it'd sure be nice to have some assurance waiting in the wings incase something should go wrong for a period of time.
I'm actually all for drafting two QBs, like the Redskins did.

To increase our odds that one of them becomes our "franchise QB" and decrease our odds of setting ourselves back three years.
Actually my thought was draft Bridgewater, and then sign Matt Flynn as "Starter". Because it seems to be the magic charm. Worked for Seahawks and now possible Raider. "Good Luck Matt"

LOL. Criminally underrated post.
Er'rybody slighting Mettenberger so hard. He's going to be a top 50 pick...and probably a first rounder...yet in the last few days I've seen two 'mocks' on here saying take him in the 5th.
