My understanding is Ohio State remains ineligible for the Big Ten Championship Game. So why did The Sporting News report tonight's game will be for winning the division and playing in the conference championship game? If the Buckeyes are not allowed to win the Leaders division, that is obviously not true at all.

I also was surprised to read they are still in the Leaders division because Rutgers and Maryland recently joined the Big Ten so it finally got smart and divided itself into East and West divisions. Is that going to start next season?

They are not ineligible for anything this year.

Realignment is next year.

Weird. It seems to me sanctioned teams are usually ineligible more than one season. Maybe they reduced it to one year because OSU punished itself.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Rutgers and Maryland join the conference.

The big ten, eleven, twelve, is horrible.
