What are you guys's thoughts on this guy so far? He's vastly improving week to week and I'm starting to get that Brian Dawkins vibe I got when I initially saw his highlights.
He's a hard hitter that knows when to go for the ball and when to go for the ball carrier. He's going to change a LOT of games for us, something we haven't seen since Reggie Nelson's rookie year.
He's already forced multiple fumbles and laid the wood on a couple of hits. I just wish the defense as a whole responded better to play action.

He's terrible, we should've never kept him after his terrible showing in preseason. I mean the guy couldn't even play 'cause he had an owie on his ankle and now look at him, abused by every quarterback in the league. Just pathetic that Gene Smith drafted another small school loser so high in the draft. Should'a picked somebody good from the SEC where the only real football is played.
He is getting one step closer on each zone drop. One cut quicker to the RB in the hole. Each game he gets a little more involved and a little closer to hitting home on his hits and pass breakups.
Now dont get me wrong i still saw PLENTY of problems even from this last game: Missed tackles, bad bites on PAs, not making the QB hesitate on zones against TEs etc. But those were less than the previous reg season games and certainly less than his preseason performances.
I like the fact that he's forcing fumbles at a high rate.
However, his coverage sucks so far. If he can maintain a high forced fumble rate, improve his tackling and coverage, maybe we'll have something there...

Still in a learning phase. I am ok with that. Once he "gets it" he will be scary good.
He looks like a piece to build the defense around. Him and Gratz should be a nice combo back there for several years.

He's the one player I've seen improve from each of the 3 games.
