Quote:I think you will see Stanzi play the last four or five games, by then Caldwell and Gus will realize Gabbert is not the answer. Henne will not be retained as a backup if Stanzi shows any promise. My Guess is we will draft a QB first round maybe bring in a free agent QB if they feel both young quarterbacks are not ready to step into the starting job. Then one of the young players will be starting during the season.

We will trade our 1st overall draft pick to Seattle for their backup Jackson QB... lol epic fail.. this team has me shaking my heads.. I thought Mularkey was a bad HC and I really have a lot of hope for Gus, I still do, but man this last few games were hard to watch. I hope we put up a better fight against our division rival this week.
Quote:If you love your country, Jaguars....even just the littlest bit....you will start Ricky Stanzi next week against the Colts....and it won't matter how many touchdowns Andrew Luck throws against this defense....because Ricky will throw 1 more.....and the Jaguars will march off the field victoriously.

I love my country -- give me Stanzi.
People don't get we will not win if the QB can't scramble and make plays. Hence why David won games and these QB can not. I am all for giving Robinson a shot. If he blows it so what. Still create more excitement. Mccoy also won tons of games in college.

How did that turn out?
I mean Qbs like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady whom stay in the pocket stink you need guys that run around and get injured after one year like RG3, Michael Vick, that Young guy whom isnt playing anymore...

I would take a QB that is intelligent with a stong arm to move down the field over a guy that can run around any day.  The problem is the Jaguars have below average QBs and DR isnt the answer he cant even run or catch right now in those postions what makes you think he can do it at QB?

Maurice Jones-Drew would have a better chance at being a wildcat QB and we've seen him throw.

I dont know about Ricky since he hasnt thrown publicly with the Jaguars yet, but I would be all for letting him try because Chad Henne isnt the answer & Blaine has a boo-boo

Neither brady nor Peyton would do much better behind a line most times count to 3 already in face.
Example when Peyton gets constant pressure he makes same mistakes. Same with Brady. Both Blaine and Chad are not great. However behind our line they are sitting ducks.
Honestly this teams needs so much help I'd rather trade down and make bank. But that's just me.

I endorse this thread.

lol

HOW ABOUT SENDING THE OFFENSE OUT TO PLAY DEFENSE AND THE DEFENSE OUT TO PLAY OFFENSE, SO THAT BOTH SIDES KNOW HOW MUCH THE OTHER SIDE HOOVERS.

The problem with this team is far greater then just QB.

You got an interior line that is just awful

0 production from the TE spot

The only current receiver worth a dime is Shorts.  Blackmon will be a big help

Your "playmakers" sanders and robinson has done squat

Horrible play calling

Sorry but you could put Joe Montanta in his prime on this team and we would still be bad

Stanzi is the next coming of Tom Brady.  He just needs a chance.

Just heard David Garrard on the radio saying that no QB could survive behind this line. David is a tough bird, too.
Stanzi could only be an improvement on the overall QB play. Why not give him a shot and see what he has. We unfortunately know what Henne and Gabbert are. Lets give him his shot!

I bet if he played a game by the end you guys would be calling for the next in line.

Different Qb doesn't mean better.

Joe Montana is no Ricky Stanzi
Your right Montana had a effective offense to work with.

Good point.

Its the QB, OL, pass rush.  In that order.  The Jaguars need to fix those areas before we can hope to improve.
With Gabbert back, who is the backup now? Don't tell me Henne stays at #2. (Although I do like Henne more than Blaine)
