Quote:At 2-1 they're still tied for the top of the division...

...unlike the team from the East.

Congrats on being better than the worst team in the league, but being tied with a team lead by Jake Locker.
Quote:Is there a team in the AFC South further east than the Jags?
You know there is not. All of the other AFC South teams are in the Central Time Zone.

When someone says "from the  AFC East," that means either the Patriots, Bills, Dolphins, or Jets.

The funny part is Gabbert would likely succeed on the texans team since he wouldn't have to worry about getting hit all the time, and unlike Schaub he doesn't get intimidated at crunch time.

I doubt the texans do it but it'd be in their interest to see what Caldwell would want for him.

If the Texans offer a 7th, I think we take it.
Andre Johnson is clearly not 100% and they seem to be ignoring the running game.

They are overrated and I believe they receive too much credit as a result of being in a weaker division. A lot of people project them based on their schedule which is proving to be a mistake. Tennessee and Indy appear to better than originally thought.
Quote:It's Schaub.

He's worse than Gabbert but he's on a much better team.

The Jaguars should be looking to trade Gabbert to the texans.

He's not worse than Gabbert, but he's still not very good over the past several years.

Gabbert doesn't get intimidated during crunch time?....how would we know??....He's rarely had legit "crunch time" to worry about.
As for the thread question, its as I said in a few posts this offseason....the Texans aren't as good as some delusional Texans fans think they are.

They had a window and its starting to shut.

Blaine Gabbert better than Matt Schaub is right now? That's a good one. Matt Schaub is no Peyton Manning but he's not a worse QB than Gabbert.

He is worse than Gabbert. His o-line is full of pro bowlers, he has a pro bowl running back behind him, and he has a true #1 elite level WR lining up outside that wins matchups, and he consistently flails when pressure is high in games. (2 minute drill, playoffs, December)

Gabbert's consistently played his best football at the end of close games when the coaching staff had to say "forget about the leash, just run, Forrest." Such as the Vikings and Colts games, but not only those. If you look up his situational stats they tell the story. In the 2 minute drill and at the end of close games in his rookie season and his second season his passer rating went up significantly.

In fact, here are his passer ratings in the back half of the 2012 season:

42.9

121.7 (against Jacksonville)

78

95.8

68.8

109.7

72

66

His only 300+ yard games last year were against Detroit and the Jaguars.

A Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning probably takes the texans to multiple superbowls with the level of players they've aquired there, but Schaub is just a game manager with a tendency toward breaking under pressure.

We'll agree to disagree. I will never agree as of right now that Gabbert is better than Schaub.....and I don't think all that highly of Schaub as a QB right now, either...

The Texans are overrated. Period.

Its more than just Schaub that is the problem, IMO.

Yeah, that's a real head scratcher.  He's no Manning or Brady, but he can make due if he's got weapons around him.

Johnson is getting older, so they're losing their playmaker.  What's happening to the Texans is what happened to us in the early 2000s.

because of our salary cap situation. They drafted him thinking he would recover from shoulder surgery after a year on IR.
Yates>>>Schaub

Texans window has closed. Schaub and Foster are phonies and Johnson can't stay healthy
Big test for them to prove they belong with the big boys this Sunday...

Schaub has just had a slow start. Usually he finishes strong though. But nothing really wrong with the Texans as a whole.

LMAO texans LMAO schaub

The texans should be on the line looking to trade for Gabbert while they can get him for a conditional late round pick.

They're going nowhere with Schaub.
