Hahaha, Lewis sucks.
Its funny how some people still buy into the outlier CONTRACT year and think thats what Marcedes really is....
The sad/ scary part is one of those people is Caldwell...

Blackmon is one of the best in the league. No other rookie came on like Blackmon did and produced. Stop with the madness.

Tell me, who has been his QB since he got that extension. How about his stupid coaches that would call screens for him instead of more red zone targets? He doesnt deserve a top 10 contract but he is a very useful asset to this team.

Sherman is going to shut down whoever he is covering.

LOL - some people think Lewis is a good TE. He's horrible - one of the top 10 most overpaid players in the NFL.

For one I was talking about late in the season getting hot and almost getting 1000 yards as a Wr. Te are easier to get yards due to mis matches.

If our offensive line doesn't collapse up the middle, and if Monroe and Luke step it up, and if Henne plays the perfect game and has one of his hot streaks, Shorts can get 8 catches for 90 yards. It's not impossible.
More likely Henne is under constant harassment, is sacked 5 times, throws 18 screen passes for 3 yards per attempt, and shorts ends up with 5 catches for around 50 yards, most of that yardage coming on one play. We really need Lewis and Blackmon back and in top form for Cecil to have a big game.
Otherwise he is just another guy, a decent receiver, but a Julio Jones taking over he is not.

Just curious, have you ever seen Julio Jones play without Ryan, White, Turner/Jackson/Rogers or the O-line? I haven't, but you seem to assume that he would be just as good without those others. The same with the comment about Hopkins above, how good would Blackmon be if he was opposite Johnson with Shaub and that running game and line to play with?

Bridgewater over Manziel. Always.

Oy veay... Lewis in the end zone, wide open, ball lofted in the air... Easy TD... Except not...

Great players make the guys around them look better. Marcedes doesn't make the guys around him look better.

Lewis is here. Cause he is great at blocking. And with letting Jones go. It will help.

Oh please just stop with this crap...
Who was Marcedes' QB in his contract year??? Ans: an average one.
1 year out of 8 that have been appropriate with the kinda of year we'd thought we'd be getting routinely at the time of his drafting....
The guy is a bum.
....and Caldwell actually thinks he is part of the core going forward...scary......scary indeed. Hope that was just one blip by Caldwell rather than a peek into incompetence.

Caldwell will not downgrade any players here. He would be a bad gm business wise to do so.

Except, he was stone cold serious when he made the comments. It wasn't just "coach or GM speak"
