Quote:I was wondering if your nudist colony and mine are in the same league. Do you guys play tackle or two wang touch? If its the latter, look for us on your schedule. We are the bare-a-cudas. Watch out. We bite! I'll be the guy with the number "1" shaved on the left cheek and a "5" shaved into the right.
I remember you from last season, you are the guy that runs the stretch play. ... And that isn't 15, there is a period in the middle, so it is 1.5

Me & Tommy go way back, we've been friends for like 26 years, give or take a quarter of a century.

What kind of work are you looking for? You have a potential job network right here on these boards.

Yep that was me. Who was that guy on your team that was playing 10 yards off the line of scrimmage and still getting sacks? Very impressive. Was it Long Ding?
Goodwill and Salvation Army that sucker.. I saw the prices of jeans now a days and said "to hell with that"..
I can do call center, tech support, help desk,inbound/out bound sales. Or even a life coach for teens.
I mean I can work unloading trucks. But wanted my degree in Computers to stand for something.

That being said, don't listen to "Beach Bunnie" or whatever her name is, just let your kid find himself. Obviously you don't want him looking homeless or anything, but let him find his own identity and he'll find friends. Everyone has at least one friend. except for Tommy.
"Beach Bunny" or why ever my name is, is a mom of a son not long out of high school...yeah, what would I know...

I'm less than a year out of high school, does that make my opinion more valuable?
OP, just let your son be himself. Trying too hard is far worse than just being yourself - even if you don't fit in with the popular kids. Changing clothes won't fix anything, and middle school just plain sucks in general. I know this sounds cliche, but it worked for me.

Aha! I'm 18 now, so I'm not technically a kid anymore (except in my parent's eyes, as they've told me more than once).

It's a parent thing!
I'm not a parent, but I have been a teenager. I was fortunate to live in an era where run of the mill Levis, desert boots, and flannel shirts were the style. Things went horribly wrong when my mother shopped for me. Bless her heart, she tried so hard to make me stylish but, unfortunately, her idea of what the current fashions were came from watching Soul Train. One time she bought me an outfit that consisted of white hip huggers with blue stripes and cuffed bell bottoms, a silk shirt with a navy blue paisly pattern and pair of blue and white patent leather saddle oxford platform shoes.
I didn't wear that outfit until a year later, when I dressed up as a disco zombie on Halloween.
It could have been worse. One Christmas my grandmother gave me a pair of rainbow striped hot pants. I was 12. I never wore them either. To this day I wonder if she was using me to bait a neighborhood pedophile or something.

I remember her, she was hawt. I agree with you, the Soul Train dancers had style. But I couldn't dance and I wasn't on a TV show.
Quote:Hey I have a question for the locals out here. And since we just moved here and my 13 year old boy just started middle school last week. Could use some help so is picked on less. So serious replies from local parents only please.
I am curious what brands of clothes are popular with teenage boys. Everything from shoes to pants to shirts and so on.
So know what to buy my boy to wear to school and not get picked on. Like what is popular and what is not in style and stay away from buying. Any help be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Ray
Whatever fits your budget is what your child will have to wear.

It looks comfy at least...
Quote:Khaki shorts with a Quiksilver/surf logo t shirt or khaki shorts with a Abercrombie/prep style shirt. Can't go wrong with either of those.
This. My son got into the chino shorts and surf shirts when he hit 9th grade. IF Aqua East does not suit your budget, hit Stein Mart & Marshalls ... if you look around, you can find some real deals there.
