Growing up in Arlington, Jones College was always a fixture on the waterfront with their campus at the foot of the Matthews Bridge.  With the most famous alumnus being Joe Piscopo, it's not like we're losing a Harvard or anything, but it has been a fixture in this town for a century.  How many colleges have a radio station where they spin the dulcet tones of Muzak's top 100 easy listening songs?  Granted, WKTZ has been off the airwaves for a few years, but they are still  spinning the instrumental hits of the 30's through the 90's online on Jones College Radio.  Of course, the majority of their audience haven't quite figured out that whole Internet thing.

RIP, Jones College
They couldn't stick around and make it an even 100???
I remember that place! I remember as a kid I'd see it and think it would be cool to go there. That's before I realized higher education wasn't in my DNA. Not in the form of college anyway.
That place is a hole..

Angel Angelfire is gonna have to update the lyrics to "Duval Ditty."
I confess, I was employed by Jones College for a couple of years in the late 1980s. It was a pretty surreal place to work at the time. That's when they had campuses in Jacksonville, Miami, and Tampa IIRC. I met old man Jones several times. He gave me investment advice but back then, I didn't pay it much attention. To my later regret. Sorry to hear it's closed/closing.
Jones College Radio turned every car into an elevator.
