my version 2.0 would put Yannick at top of list. Because he deserves to be. Though Ramsey is very intriguing as well. How Yannick ended up a third round pick and still led the D in sacks and many other stats. Is amazing.
Exactly, Teal Time. Fournette, Campbell haven't done anything for the Jags yet. Yannick has produced. Eight sacks for a rookie is amazing. And they weren't cheap sacks, either. This dude knows how to get to the QB.
The hopeful optimist's projected top five offensive Jaguars:

Linder
Hopefully Albert
Hopefully Fournette
Hopefully Bortles
Either A-Rob or Lee

The hopeful optimist's projected top five defensive Jaguars:

Ramsey
Campbell
Jackson
Ngakoue
Please, football gods, let #5 be Fowler
(the defense has lots of talent - so there are several other names that could end up on that list by January '18)
NFL.com on the topic:

Quote:Jacksonville Jaguars: Calais Campbell, DE
Though Campbell has not yet played a down for the Jaguars, he instantly becomes the most accomplished and respected player in the locker room, save for maybe Malik Jackson. The Jaguars' offseason facelift was encouraging, reinforcing the notion that the ascending club can ink top-tier free agents. Blake Bortles remains their major question mark, hence Jacksonville's place on the list.

What I hope it will be at the end of the season:

1.) Bortles
2.) Ngakoue
3.) Ramsey
4.) Fournette
5.) Jack

What is probably more likely for it to be next season:

1.) Campbell
2.) Jackson
3.) Ramsey
4.) Linder
5.) Smith
Cyprien will be in the top 5 of our best players for at least 2 games i'd say.

Well - I know one NFL.com writer that doesn't have Bortles on this list:

Quote:Houston Texans: Deshaun Watson
Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck
Jacksonville Jaguars: Blake Bortles
Tennessee Titans: Marcus Mariota

In theory, this group could end up in the No. 8 spot. I love Luck, Mariota and Watson. But Luck currently can't throw a football. That's a problem. Bortles can't throw a football -- and he's completely healthy. Also a problem. I'm not even messing around with Tom Savage here. Watson was rightly drafted to start. And he should. I love the fit. But he's still a rookie. Assuming Mariota's healthy, I anticipate another strong year from the Titans signal caller.

ouch
Yeah man, if we all take off the "hopeful Teal glasses"...Bortles is no better than Gabbert.
Offense:
Lee
Linder
Fournette
ARob
Bortles

Defense:
Ramsey
Telvin
Church
Campbell
Jackson

This is so incredibly not true on so many levels.
In no order...

- Campbell
- Jackson
- Smith
- Ramsey
- Fournette*

*Will only be as good as the line. Wonder how well Blake will do against a lot of stacked boxes?

Criticize the guy all you want for what he did last season. Most people are justified in their frustration and criticism. But this is just stupid. You don't need to be a homer or be wearing "teal glasses" to disagree with this.
If Blake Bortles isn't in the top 5, we're screwed.

Most SB teams have a QB in their top five, but Dilfer sure as heck wasn't top five in the 2000 season.

I'm not even sure that Eli was in the Giants top five in Coughlin's two SB victories over the Patriots.
