How does that Gandalf Meme go? The one where he's dangling off of a ledge, just barely hanging on while a Demon from the Nether reaches is pulling him down... down... down... and he looks at the other and he says... Hmmmm...

...

...Well, he says something but I'll be TMD'd if I can remember what he says.
Fly, you fools.

Doesn't he beat the demon? And end up calling in the gryphons to pick the little hobbits up off the side of mountain. Which creates the plot hole, why didn't froto take the damn gryphons there in the first place and just throw the ring into the mountain and fly home?

And you think Sauron isn't going to spot a bunch of gryphons headed to Mt. Doom? While carrying Hobbits who he knows have the One Ring? To the only place that is hot enough to destroy the One Ring?

He didn't have the insane army in fellowship of the ring as he did durring the final movie. I would have taken my odds. they could have at least flown them close to mount doom.

He doesn't need an insane army. It's some Hobbits on glorified pigeons, he would have spotted them the second they took off and he'd have half his forces waiting for them on Mt. Doom.
Iirc, froto had to put the ring on for him to see from a distance. And once Gandalf came in on the gryphons, they started cutting through Saurons forces like it was nothing. Glorified pigeons? Maybe. But the undead mud orcs got rolled multiple times from what I remembered. Even at the one place on the side of the mountain. Granted a undead ghost army came in pretty clutch. But it wasn't like they caught the hobbits even when they were on foot. Give the little guys a mount and some wings and I would say they had pretty good odds, plus they could have just flown over mount doom and dropped the ring right? They wouldnt even have had to land. Could have been back in the shire throwing back pints by the end of the first movie. Granted that wouldnt have made for a very epic tale.
Congrats! Marriage is a strange trip indeed. A lot of work but very much worth it when it's the right person.
I got married a couple of years ago and my wife and I went to Europe for our Honeymoon. I planned the trip myself (which took a while to line up all the flights and get them as cheaply as possible) and we hit about 10 or 11 cities and spent 2 or 3 days in each one. That may not be doable for most, but if you do go to Europe make sure you look at flights on Norwegian Airlines which flies out of Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale. A one way ticket to Oslo or Copenhagen (and maybe a few other European cities) can be had for around $170 on certain days and getting your flights 6 months in advance or more can help you get them as cheaply as possible. Also, once you're in Oslo or Copenhagen, flights to other European cities can be had for as little as $43 on Norwegian Airlines or you can take a train.

Some of the cheap flights on certain airlines within Europe have checked baggage fees that are as much as the flight. I'd recommend packing light and just using a carry on and doing laundry while you're over there if need be if that's where you decide to go.

Ours was the trip of a lifetime. We have our first child now so we probably won't be able to do anything like that again for a long time. Do it or something like it while you can and while you're young if your finances will permit.

And Congratulations!

Thank you, and that is my thoughts as well. I took a trip to Italy with m family a long time ago and absolutely loved it. i have heard about the train a number of times and i think that's what i want to do. I was reading something about a euro pass that runs you through quite a few countries in Europe and from my understanding that was relatively cheap. Im really excited for everything but my fiancee has her heart set on bora bora lol. Its beautiful and all but we go to the virgin islands every year and have been on numerous cruises so i would much rather do something different. Her friend told her about those glass bottom huts and its been tough to get her to think about anything else lol.
