This is some Pedro Cerrano/Jobu level [BLEEP] here.

Being cursed and being incompetent can look eerily the same. One also might consider that this franchise is just a jobber to the big markets by design and that certain people in the organization benefit greatly from making them look good.

I've thought about that and once believed refs were quietly told to keep their thumbs on the scale if small market teams become too good, but the irony of the league simping for KC kind of threw that theory out.

However, incompetence across multiple regimes is curse territory. I mean, heck, the entire #becausejaguars is rooted in a curse.

To expel a curse, you have to look in every nook and cranny. John Oehser is in that cranny, smiling.
These are fun conversations. The curse is no accountability. The front office is all splash without fundamentals. O is and remains lame.

It doesn't though.  The theory doesn't require the refs to put a finger on the scale every play every game.  And it doesn't require the market to be big, just big enough.
The theory only requires the refs to identify a marketable player to annoint as football Jesus.  The guy will already be talented, they just have to make sure he's nurtured. In the theory, Lawrence could be that guy if they figured out a way to put him in a bigger market.

Doesn't even need a bigger market. Just win enough games to be a media darling. Those are the guys getting the borderline calls or not being ignored on obvious calls.
He needs to go for curse to be lifted.

Only one way to find out  Rolleyes
Today was an Oesher type loss.

Backup QBs don't make those throws with the game on the line.

Until the root is taken of, pain will ensue.
Oyster shucks.
I'm beginning to think that Dream Finder Homes has something to due with this curse as well.
Oesher is hard to listen to.

Yes, but he writes well and that's his primary gig.

His takes are much saner than most of the stuff on this board.

I could get on board with this too.
Is it true that he still lives in Indianapolis?

Toeing the company line doesn't make them "his takes". He's as reliable as the people you get your news from.

Terrible builder. They once put a kitchen cabinet in my buddy's bathroom with faux drawers that didn't open and tried to convince him it was a feature.

Good rule of advice. Never use a home builder or lawyer  or financial advisor who has to advertise.

Curse continues.

That seems like it will benefit us even if it is true, which is unlikely
They just need to switch to live chickens before games instead of Kentucky fried.
