Quote:It appears that jj82284 and flsprtsgod are in a healthy competition to see who can be the greatest Trump apologist.

The V. Putin Is A great Guy Award. It's neck and neck.
Actually, there are only 2 locks for Greatest Trump Apologist on the board, and neither jj or FSG will get it.  While I often disagree with FSG and even more frequently with jj, they are both free thinkers with unique world views, and I'm glad your post gave me the opportunity to say so.

I won't speak for them, but I don't think Putin is their favorite guy.

But Donald heard Putin says nice things about him.
Reporter: Donald, did you happen to catch Gilmores hole in one on a par 4?

Trump: No, I was too busy being president!

Trump: No, I was too busy being president tweeting!

FTFY

I guess it's better than spending tax payer money flying to luxury golf courses while America was falling apart..

Yeah...it takes sooooo much time to throw out a tweet! Even if he sounds like an idiot most the time he does it...lol

So I guess I should throw this line out when Trump is spending tax payer money flying to luxury golf courses, and probably going to Mar-A-Lago or back to Trump Tower every so often... right?  Or is it okay when Trump (inevitably) does it?

Unlike ole welfare Obama, I'm sure trump can afford it. He's already saving the tax payers 400k a year..

Not a tweet, multiple tweets. The man is distracted by anything shiny.

Looks like a duck, sounds like a duck...

You do realize that we'll still be funding all that secret service, all that hotel services, and pretty much all the same things Obama had us pay for... right?  It's not like Obama is paying all that money just to play golf.  He's paying most of that money for secret service travel and accommodations.

I mean sure $400k/year.  Great savings.  I'm sure that'll put a major dent in our billion dollar deficit.

Thanks Trump!

Now let's spread that 400K around to everyone in America so we can all benefit!

Hey, it's no different than one person being environmentally friendly to help stop global warming.

Don't fool yourself.   There's no way Trump is paying for all the incredible expense it takes to move a President of the United States around the country or around the world.

Nobody said that.
1. He is settling accusations he couldn't fight that his university was fraudulent. He could've fought it longer had he lost the election, but the evidence is there. It was fraudulent.

2. He gets to write off the whole settlement on his taxes. Not even a slap on the wrist.

Conman through and through.
This is pretty much another "non-story".  He settled the lawsuit so that it is no longer a distraction.  Liberals and Trumpettes can argue and bicker all they want regarding what the outcome might have been, but it's pretty much over.

It's a story for 2 reasons:

1.  He said he wouldn't settle, and pretty much called out other tycoons who do.  Although he spun it as another victory, and the right thing for America, he did it because it was the best thing for himself.  I can't call it a broken promise, but it is a reversal of one of his purported principles.

2.  It was the easiest thing to impeach him for, as explained in this LA Times story.  So it's a bit more than a mere distraction.  It was an immediate threat to his presidency.
Impeach him, right out of office, maybe even before he gets in there. President Pence...how's that sound to you?

I doubt that he could be impeached over it.  I tried to read the story, but I refuse to disable my ad-blocking extension on my browser and I'm too lazy right now to circumvent the annoying popup.

Either way though, he settled and it's over.  Liberals will still try to make something of it.
