Don Baylor was a terrific player. I cheated and went to Baseball Reference to find out that he hit 338 home runs but his real forte was in getting hit by pitches. I don't know where he ranks on the all time list but he was hit 267 times in 19 MLB years.
When he got hit, he never flinched. Pitches just bounced off him and he headed for first base.
Cancer sucks. 68 really is not that old anymore.
