Anyone know much about the guy? Is he worth a look for the Jags?
First round pick who couldn't beat out Trevor Siemian for the starting job in Denver.

Worth a look for the Jags? What does that mean?

That speaks volumes,  at least in terms of the foreseeable future.  Learning a different system is practically the last thing Paxton Lynch needs this season.
Paxton Lynch potentially proves several things:

1. Even first ballot Hall of Fame QBs turned GMs can miss on a first round QB.
2. Maybe fans, GMs, coaches and owners are impatient when it comes to developing QBs.
3. Maybe the reality of the league now mandates less patience.

IMHO, the number 1 reason why I believe Aaron Rodgers is a top 10 all time NFL QB is the Packers were able to bring him along slowly.  Learning from the bench from Mike McCarthy and Brett Favre made a huge difference for him.   The growing pains and pounding that most QBs that get thrown into the fire early was something the Packers were able to avoid with Rodgers to a very large extent.

Having said this,  most teams don't have the luxury of patience that the Packers had.  In many cases,  they pay a heavy price for that.
