Everything I saw last night indicates 3-4, if we're lucky.
I picked 4-5 but after this game I would change it to 3-4. We are awful once again.
I'll be optimistic and say 5-6 wins. Carolina is a good team, possible super bowl contender
5 - 6 is fair at this point. I'll just put it bluntly.

If this [BLEEP] team can't beat the likes of the San Francisco 49ERS, the Cleveland Browns, the New York Jets and the Los Angeles Rams. They should all start looking at themselves as a team, front office and even the ownership. That's four games I expect to see this team win. Period. Figure it the [BLEEP] out. I don't care who the Quarterback is. You have to win those four at the minimum.

I expect them to surprise at least one or two other teams. Could be within in the division depending on whose starting for the tinhorns and how well the clots are holding up around Luck. Getting realllllll tired of this [BLEEP] though as a fan. 10 long years in the running. At some point the bleeding needs to stop.
2 games we will win unless something major changes.

I don't get the optimism.  2 wins would put us in contention for the 1st pick in the draft and  our QB of the future.  Jags will never be that lucky.  We'll win at least 3 because teams will rest their starters in the last game or two - or we start Allen at QB.

Watch - we get 4 wins, draft number 4 and QB's go 1-2-3 in the draft.

I would almost bet, even this early, that Darnold and Rosen go top 3 if not top 2
Rosen isn't that great of a prospect. I really don't understand the fan and media infatuation with that kid. He was just average last year. His completion percentage was [BLEEP]. His decision making was questionable based on his TD:INT ratio. He has to play light years better in 2017 compared to last year IMHO before I even consider him being a first round prospect.

Darnold is another one. He got on a hot streak last year. He has to carry that over. At this point I would rather see them go BAP along the offensive or defensive line again and look at a QB on day or day three to groom while bringing in a legit veteran in 2018 to lead the offense. Look at a kid like Fitzgerald out of Mississippi St. or Litton out of Marshall. Or Rudolph out of Oklahoma St and Falk out of Washington St. Maybe Browning out of Washington as well.

I just don't get that "sure fire, can't miss" feel with Darnold and Rosen.

And I also agree. This team will win just enough games to kick itself out of a top QB prospect anyway. Like they always do.
Unless you were wildly pessimistic in the first place I find it hard to see how this preseason doesn't drop your estimate by at least one category.
I knew this post would pop up sometime haha

But I will say 3-5 wins

I'm wondering if we will mess up our future by winning 1 time too many games (like 4 or 5) next season and not be in position to draft a franchise QB.

IF they both come out...

Even still I don't think those are the best QBs coming out.
It's gonna be a tough year unless they find a way to open up the run game and fix the oline issues. Its the difference between 0-16 and a playoff run to me.
Heck the only reason I go with 3-4 wins is because of our division. Ugh this division. It hurts that the Colts have less talent and will probably trounce us again. I can't stand the Tacks but they are shoving it in our face with a coach we fired. Man this team is breaking new grounds in futility.

Guys just don't try, and the best players are limited by coaches anyway. How many times did Gabbert look great is PS because no one gave 2 hoots on the opposing defense? Team start trying for real in week 1 of the season, I will keep my expectations until then.  I think we still get to 7 wins this season, no more or less.

I see wins against the Jets and Colts (once, away, cause we play like crap at home), and maybe the Chargers, 49ers, Ravens and Browns.  6 wins tops, but probably more like 2 or 3.  Hope I'm wrong....

I'm with you bro.  Remember two and a half weeks ago when half the forum were making reservations for the Superbowl after we looked good against the Pats?  People put to much stock in the preseason.  QB is still a weakness and the OL could be more physical but when Fournette gets rolling and when the defense rounds into shape the Jags will finish better than they have in recent years.
I picked 7-8 wins. Also going out on a limb and saying Bortles has a helluva season
4 at most
My opinion hasn't changed since the end of Last season! I still don't trust Bortles , I didn't agree with hiring of Doug Marrone , I didn't agree with not addressing the oline in FA and more in the draft. I still don't see more then 4 or 5 wins.
6 maybe 7
