Full Version: Jags defense isn't that good either.

It's a terrible balance. We have an offense that leads the NFL in turnovers and we have a defense that's towards the bottom in creating turnovers or creating pressure. I'll admit our defense isn't all that great. But it's looked and played a whole lot better this year than it did last year. I still see Bortles out there staring down receivers, telegraphing interceptions and over throwing wide open receivers for potentially HUGE gains or game breaking touchdowns. This is two straight weeks in a row where he's missed a minimum of two big plays down the field due to his continued struggles with accuracy. Even the commentators got in on how awful his passes seem to look. How they virtually always look like wounded ducks in the air. And then they went onto mention that Bortles told Gannon that he's not a natural thrower. And Gannon's response was "Wait.... what?". In all his years as a player and analyst he's never heard an NFL QB say that to him. And then he mentioned at some point you need to consider benching this kid to show him turnovers are unacceptable. You and your dad can say what they want about the defense. Do you realize we held Osweiler to under 100 yards passing yesterday right? And Hopkins only came up with one critical catch in the clutch against Ramsey? Defense did enough yesterday. Offense, once again, put is in a hole and cost us this game.
