The success the tacks are seeing now can be largely attributed to the success they've had in building a top-notch offensive line.
That line has boosted their ground game and helped their young QB achieve a pretty efficient statline.

Yes, 100% that ^^^

Offensive line, offensive line, offensive line.  The number one most important piece of a football team.

Unless you have a QB like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning who can make things happen all by themselves, you need a strong O-Line to have a successful offense. I believe the problems with our O-Line are that we keep waiting for guys to develop when they've already peaked. Our coaches need to recognize when a linemen isn't working out and move on with some other young player. Don't just keep watching the same guys fail year after year and hope they get better. We need to address the problem head, on by using early picks on top notch O-Linemen. We also shouldn't be afraid to use some of our excess assets at other positions to trade for already established, young O-Linemen with upside. Bringing in a franchise RB and QB (hopefully in the next draft), isn't going to do much good when we have a below average O-Line. At some point, you have to make the offensive line your #1 priority.
I might be the minority, but I honestly don't think they've turned it around yet. Last year they over achieved. They have more holes talent wise than the jags have had the last few years. The difference is that the tacks have coordinators that plan and play to their strengths. The jags do the opposite and go through the annual futile attempts to mold players into something they are not, just to fit a scheme. You have to be able to adapt because when you get your team in such a deep hole talent wise, it can take years to recover and that's when you are hitting on all your draft picks!
Houston got blanked the other night.
The tacks looked bad VS Da Bears...

Clots have no idea when their QB will be ready...

The AFCS is a mess.

Oh... well in that case...
Our OL should be OK and Bortles will have a good year?

Its just preseason, until it isn't.

Also... 3rd preseason game is usually telling of the season to come.
tinhorns and tacks don't look as good as we all once previously had thought...

Fighting and scrapping for an 8-8 season to win the AFCS is what it looks like.

I get that preseason can show some potential team weaknesses.  But I caution against putting too much stock in them.

How many 12-8, 7-3, 10-6, 13-9 and 13-0 scores do you expect to see in the regular season?

I remember when Brunell was here and everyone was panicked after it seemed the passing game couldn't get going in the preseason.

The regular season started and the offense looked much better.

I don't recall seeing any packages with AR15, Hurns, Lee, Westbrook and/or Cole.

I don't recall seeing much of Fournette.

As disappointed as we've been in the offensive performance thus far, I find it hard to believe this is a worse offensive team than we were at the end of last year.

Then again, we were a 3-13 team last year, so there's that.   Confused

Yeah... I'm not optimistic until given a reason to be..
but I was optimistic for the tinhorns and tacks in that I thought they'd be taking steps forward but haven't shown much.

Good teams look good in preseason usually.

Their starters do, at least. The titans staters have looked like they're going to be the 2016 Jaguars. The texans haven't looked great, either.
I don't think the Titans have, "turned it around".
They hit on their top 3 pick QB, Dave missed. They hit on their many oline acquisitions, Dave mostly missed. They hit on their big money FA RB, Dave missed.

Well that explains being better than the Jags...

which isn't hard

But still... whether they have "turned it around" is yet to be determined.
I was sold this was their year... but after watching...tinhorns D may lead them to another 8-8 division title
