I have been seeing this label way too often IMO. First of all, nobody knows if Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen will apply for the draft because, well, they don't know either. In fact I read Darnold does not want to think about the NFL until after USC's last game and has indicated he may not apply for the draft then. UCLA coach Jim Mora will be shocked if Rosen leaves school early, based on his own comments about the possibility. Theoretically, we can say the same about Lamar Jackson, who also is in only his third college season. So every time I read "Year of the QB" or that the 2018 draft will be a QB-heavy class, I wonder why so many people assume just because the best college passers are eligible to apply they will do it.
