I have to enjoy it while I can. We are tied for first place in the division. Woot Woot.

Jags- Because of everything you stated but with a twist. It's the Jags D that takes advantage of an O-line worse than the Jags. This will be a ball control kind of game.

Oakland- I'm one of the few that thinks the tacks overachieved last year. Make Mariota throw right!

Rams- The Colts are in bad shape right now.

Last week:  N/A
Overall:  0-0

Thanks.  I dunno if the Tacks overachieved.  I do think our game against Houston will be a ball control fest.

Currently undefeated, too.
Jags, raiders, rams. Because it's week 1 so I haven't had my hope and excitement sucked from me yet.
Well, I'll play this game.....Jaguar's , overall we're better... raiders, rams.
Texans over Jaguars
Raiders over Titans
Rams over Colts

Interesting.

Why Raiders over your Tacks at home?

Better?  Kicking and coverage need to be better.  I haven't seen anything that makes me think that this unit better at all.

I think the ST unit does indeed look better under DeCamillis (as far as one can tell in preseason.)

For one thing, they have a handful of starters playing on kick coverage and returns.
That's new.
They also churned through a number of "back-up" players throughout the offseason that had been core special teamers on previous teams in order to upgrade the unit.

The TE (O'Shaugnessy) claimed on waivers the other day that bumped Neal Sterling off of the roster is a prime example.

We also are likely to receive a boost in our punt return game from Westbrook and/or Cole. I expect Marqise Lee and Corey Grant to have a few big kick returns as well.

While it's certainly possible the unit doesn't improve, I think it's very unlikely that happens.

I'll take:

tinhorns
raiders
colts
Optimistic for Week 1!

Jags
Rams
Raiders

Why Raiders over your Tacks at home?

I explained in detail why playing at home will not help the Tacks.

Bullseye's question was directed at unf_nashvillian not you.  Your explanation is irrelevant.
All three of these games should be close, so I'll go with the home teams.

Why do you pick the Titans?

...because they're the home team, JDub.  Try to keep up!  Smile

The poster who needs to keep up is the one who thinks "home field advantage" is a bigger factor in Nashville than the visiting team's talent advantage.

Laughing

I think that's the first tie prediction in the history of This Week in the AFCS.

If you get it right, you should definitely get extra points.

I just think Oakland's WRs will abuse our secondary.  Oakland's D isn't great, so we should have a great day running the ball and a decent day passing the ball.  Just not sure we'll be able to keep pace with the scoring.  I'll be there yelling and hoping for a different outcome though.

I know you're a stickler for details, so just FYI...it's Adoree', not Amoree'.  When a moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore.  When the CB/KR takes one to the house, that's Adoree'.

LOL I knew it could be wrong.

Chances are that CB/KR won't take it to the house in his first NFL game.
