They can have him. After all, who do they have playing QB to start the season?
I think a few members' heads just exploded.

Pretty much. It really isn't a big deal. IF he is their starting QB week 6 (VERY DOUBTFUL), that's just another win for the Jaguars.
Knew a team would claim him

I don't care who the QB is over there if our defense does its job, which should be pretty easy.
I wonder if the Jags Front Office considered Allen as a gamble release? Not thinking a team would pick him up.
Well I think this means we will definitely draft a QB next year regardless of how Blake plays.

That makes no sense. Whether we draft a QB or not also depends on who is available in free agency and many other factors.
Gotta admit that i feel better with the Rams GM claiming him than the Pats GM. After all, the Rams GM selected Goff #1.
I wonder how many teams submitted claims? Only 3 teams passed on him before he got claimed and 2 of those just drafted their "franchise QB" this year.
Wasn't Stephen Morris also claimed by someone after we cut him? Guys, he threw 3 picks against guys who got cut as well. He's not that good.

I've missed you

I think that was a given whether Allen proved to be the second coming of Mark Brunell or not.
I think Allen had potential, but ultimately his lack of height handicapped the abilities he had. since he had touch but having to adjust every throw to avoid being batted is not a skill thats developed quickly at the pro level. Drew Brees & Russell Wilson are also 6'0" QB's but they're the exception to the rule.
Also this preseason he seemed to do his best just throwing to Dede Westbrook in every situation. I think that a lot of making Brandon Allen look good was the play of Westbrook, I also think we might see similar signs of life with the other QB's if he were to be used with the 1's more, the dude just looks special and the last WR I saw that absolutely light up preseason every week like this was named Victor Cruz, even though the competition is the 2nd half of preseason games his talent is evident.
I just knew somebody would claim our one-time future. The Rams are destined for greatness now with Allen and Gurley.
