I foresee a lot of players being in "pain".
Is there somewhere that I can volunteer for the clinical trials?

Team doctors would never prescribe it if there is nothing wrong with the player.
There may be like 3 players on an NFL team who isn't in pain.

How is it not obvious to everyone a doctor must diagnose a cause of pain to prescribe marijuana for it?

It is like when I am walking around all day on vacation my legs are sore the next day if I don't get in a hot tub, I guess. Certainly this is something the NFL and NFLPA would want to strictly control for legal reasons.
The big concern here is how to prevent NFC West and AFC West players from using marijuana as a recreational drug by getting prescriptions.
You guys are crazy if you think a Doctor is just gonna prescribe marijuana all willy nilly like. It just doesn't happen. The player would have to lie about an illness.... Fake a illness? No one would ever do that. That's like lying on the internet, it just doesn't happen.
Now im off to get my medical weed for the month for my night blindness.
Players are known to fake injuries during games (most recently kicker Dan Carpenter), but they have no reason to do that the day after a game. Trainers and doctors know all about next-day soreness every player gets - and that it almost never means the player is injured.
