I've never seen a guy whose teammates do less for him on offense. Marcedes BLOWS. Every tipped pass is dead in the air for an easy pick. Drop after drop after drop.

Penalty after penalty after penalty.

It may be a matter of getting a new guy with a fresh start to do something about their won ability to perform.

This is such a recurring theme.
Hahaha. You were a former qb? I bet you sucked.

As bad as Blake can play, this is definitely true. I don't care if the pass is a little behind you, you're a professional catcher of the football. If it hits your hands, catch it.
Bortles, Left hander throwing right handed, what do you expect.

It is just astonishing, how if something can go wrong it will.

Perfect pass to Mercedes in a key moment.  Clonk.

Get ahead of the chains to set up a good play call?  Some absurd penalty, 1/2 the time away from the play.

A ball across the middle that 1/2 the WR's in the NFL would haul in routinely?  Tipped in the air for a gimme INT.

Need a big difficult catch?  Decent enough pass hitting the WR in the hands. or he initially snags it and it pops out.

I have never seen a guy who has no teammate make a play for him like this guy.  IT doesn't mean you don't replace him, but I have never seen a team let a guy down like we do that guy, who has enough of his own problems.
I don't think Bort has chemistry with anyone..

All true. No one disagrees that Blake does need to be better, but good god I've never seen worse luck. As you said, everything bad that could happen does.

Mercedes shouldn't be running pass routes. Lee drops it routinely. The offensive line let's guys take free runs at him from his blind side.

Still with all of that I've seen enough bad out of Bortles to believe the team won't make it over the hump with him at QB.

We're already playing for next year's draft, because if you can't win against a middle of the league level team like the titans at home then you're just playing for draft position.

Compare this game to the shoot out with mar iota a few years ago.  Look at the confidence he had with a worse Oline and running game.

We've basically, as a franchise and fanbase, done everything we could to ruin the guy.  Again.

And many relish in it.  How he bounces back Sunday and the next few weeks will tell the tale, but I don't doubt he's done.

I am sure many will begin slamming the next guy moments after he's drafted or signed either way.

The fan-base has absolutely nothing to do with "ruining" Bortles.

And to think that Jags' fans don't want every player to succeed is absolutely false.

It is true of some players.

They rooted against Byron.  Some rooted against Mark.  Many rooted against Byron because he replaced Mark.   A whole lot rooted against Blaine.  And a ton of people can't wait for Blake to do poorly.  Heck, Byron got racist threats.

Your notion that fans don't root against some players to the team's detriment is a pipe dream.

Want to test your theory?  What---honest assessment---would occur if Kap signed here (this isn't unique to our fanbase).
Khan said would not sign kap period. I wouldn't worry about that. But if our QB is worried what the fans think. Then he shouldn't be the NFL. It is not a baby league.

This is blatantly false.  Khan said he WOULD sign Kaep if that's who was recommended by the braintrust of Dave and Tom.

Your right. Tom our GM said No. So still won't happen.
There's a good chance that Lee and AR15 jet after the year. Then we only have Hurns and DeDe. Do we draft a WR in the first 3 rounds next year or sign a decent Vet who may be available ?
Both. Plus draft a QB.

I can't believe you could comprehend anything out of that.
