Thanks all.

What you stated above is indeed the same info I've seen at Yahoo Sports' site and at NFL.com.

Yep..

For those people in the UK, it's also on Sky Sports.
Thanks NYC4jags & DarloJAG84. I appreciate it!
Just out of curiosity, where specifically are you guys seeing that the Roku Channels of Yahoo & NFL will be streaming this game? I've looked all over online and on the Roku channels themselves but don't see anything stating this.

Not saying I don't believe you, just curious. Thanks!
I also read the Ravens will have the game available for live stream on their official website. Wonder if the Jags are doing the same?

This thread is the only place I ever saw the name Roku. Television networks say it is on Yahoo, period. Not Yahoo on Roku.

Thanks man. According to that link, it only references it being available on the Yahoo channel for Roku but doesn't mention the NFL channel for Roku.

Unless you also see it somewhere on there to be available for the NFL channel on Roku.
Brett, I have a Roku TV (new to me so I am feeling my way along with it)- I went to the Roku Channel Store and found Yahoo and added it to my list of home channels.

When I clicked on it, I was offered a variety of short videos, one of which was Tony Siragusa interviewing John Harbaugh about the Sunday game in London. While watching it, a banner showed up indicating that the game was streaming, free, this Sunday at 9:30 on Yahoo.

I am sure that if have a Roku streaming stick, you can do the same, ie access Yahoo and starting making Bloody Marys as soon as you wake up.

I have a 42-inch "smart TV" by Samsung that has rarely been used. It was just put on the wall yesterday.

Unfortunately I am still confused about how to watch the game because everyone is talking about something I had never heard of before.

Thanks bro! I have a Roku 3...I also went ahead and just got the Yahoo app on it. It should still work for me on there even though I don't see advertisements for it right? Even though you have a Roku TV and I just have the Roku 3?

Also, is it also confirmed that it won't be on the NFL channel for Roku? Just in case so I have a backup plan. Thanks!
I'm not a fan of this Yahoo only stream crap at all. I pay for Directv because I expect to watch stuff on my TV. I don't want to run an HDMI cord to my TV, because I'm forced to watch some stupid [BLEEP] stream. I also live in Washington so the local airing is out of the question.

And before you guys chime in with, "it only takes 30 seconds to run your HDMI cord to your TV though". Yea it does only take 30 seconds, but I live way out in the country and we can only get slow internet out here. That makes streaming things off the internet, crappy at best. I either have to deal with buffering every 5 seconds because it's in HD, or I have to watch a stream in 360p, or lower so it doesn't buffer every 5 seconds.

Now yea, I might be just one person [BLEEP] about this, but I think them forcing you to watch it on a stupid stream is ridiculous. I have no problem with them having a streaming option for the game, but it better be aired on NFL Network/NFL Sunday ticket channels as well. I know some people only have internet access and can only catch a stream of it, but the people who pay for TV shouldn't be punished.

It's highly doubtful many people besides Jags and Ravens fans are going to go out of their way to watch a stream of this game anyways. Especially anybody who lives on the west coast. If you aren't a fan of either of these teams, are you really going to get up at 6:30am on your Sunday, just to watch this game? Not a chance.

I'm probably the last guy to ask but I'm assuming that a Roku 3 stick will function essentially the same way as my built-in Roku. That is, you load the Yahoo channel from the Roku Channel Store and it shows up on your list of home channels and you can access content including the 9:30 AM game Sunday.

If it doesn't work for us we can be po'd together.

And I sure do agree with Eric1 about paying for something he may not get.

Just me venting about a small thing, but it's still rather annoying.

I pay $300 for the NFL Sunday Ticket every year, just to watch this sorry [BLEEP] team on my TV. Simply because the internet isn't good out here and I don't like dealing with streams to watch our Jags play. Otherwise I'd gladly drop NFL Sunday Ticket and just watch the games online.

Maybe it will still be air'd on the Sunday Ticket channels, but it's too early to check. Either way, I will be watching this game even if I have to deal with a crappy quality stream.  Wallbash  Undecided

You are definitely not the only one who hates the Yahoo-only idea. When we played against the Bills in London, I was on vacation in Washington, DC. Because the game was only on Yahoo, I could not record it on my DVR to watch after returning home later that day. I learned we won while waiting for my flight home at the gate. Unfortunately, people who didn't have a problem watching the game had no sympathy. Where are the people who understand not everyone can or wants to use Internet-capable devices to watch their favorite teams play in the regular season?

You are absolutely right about Internet technology often being bad for watching football games. On top of situations like yours, there are wifi issues on laptops for people who cannot get the games on TV and in most cases much smaller screens. In addition, people with satellites can get TV but not the Internet when there is a problem with the modem. For me it's also important to watch games on TV because the computer's sound system is terrible. To hear anything I need to wear headphones, which after a while become uncomfortable, and I would rather sit in a living room chair looking at a 42-inch screen that is easy to read. I could watch game highlights at the computer, but for a full game, I need the TV to watch it.

I'm totally with you on this and lobbied this exact argument in 2015. Different for me, however, is I have high speed internet. That said, last time I still had issues with it pausing. Also gone from this nonsense is the ability to record the game. I often work on Sundays so I like the ability to record the games to the DVR and watch them when I get home.

After this happened the last time, I vowed to cancel the NFL Ticket if they did it again. If Sunday's game is indeed stream only, I will absolutely do just that.

Agreed completely. Even when you're able to catch the game live on Sunday, people still love to record it and rewatch it later. There's always stuff you missed on the first go around.

Yup, now that I think of it, I do remember being upset about this same thing a couple years ago. The year we played the Bills, iirc. Got stuck having to stream it and I missed quite a lot of plays, during multiple drives due to buffers.

Also, the NFL needs to consider who can't get NFL Sunday Ticket for any reason and want to watch games  that are only on Yahoo.
I can't wait for all games to be Live Stream every week.
