Just shows you how truly out of touch Hollywood elitist' are.
Hopefully they keep it up.
Who gives a turkey what those hypocritical actors and thier ilk think.......

And they wonder why Box Office returns are so low ......
Add to this a resolution passed by California dem lawmakers requiring an apology from Trump for being a big ol' meany (cue Shirley Temple pout). They've gone into full meltdown mode. Who can blame them? This time last year they seemed invincible as they stood atop their house of cards protected by an attack dog media who had them all deluded into believing they were untouchable and their girl would be president. Now they're most recognizable representations are crybaby celebrities and cowardly black masked goons. What a difference a year makes.
A Liberal Lovefest, held by liberals, watched by liberals with awards won by liberals..

And you wonder why ratings were so low haha
Speaking of Hollywood. James Woods is an awesome follow on Twitter.
Colbert used to be a brilliant satirist, now he's a one trick pony. I miss Dave.

Box office is low because TV is so good. The home experience is so much better than it used to be. People can basically watch new movies that come out in theaters from their living room. It's just like going to football games. The home experience is better now with Redzone and Sunday ticket. You don't need to go to games anymore.

It has nothing to do with celebrities and their political viewpoints.

This and the trend of infantilism in movie subjects. Comic book movies were entertaining at first. Now they're just full-on stupid along with every other movie vomited out of the studios, which are mostly vacuous features of CGI explosions and fight scenes supported by a framework of insipid dialogue. Apparently the studios now almost exclusively cater to the mentality and intellectual capacity of pubescent boys. Movies are failing because they produce cheap dreck.

Whew! All better now.

Honestly, if you think about it, he was always a one trick pony.

Letterman had pretty much lost it when he retired.  His show was brilliant in the early days, even when he was on during the daytime.  Toward the end, he was just going through the motions.

As far as the box office numbers slumping as badly as they have recently, part of that is indeed due to people staying home and watching the movies there.  But, part of it is also the fact that the product Hollywood has been cranking out more recently is just crap.  The number of retreads that are popping up really water down the movie experience.  There are a few franchises that still rate serious box office, but the lack of originality coming out of Hollywood these days, and the garbage they're cranking out lately has had an impact on what we're seeing at the box office.
I remember when I was excited about Hollywood awards shows..... when I was 20.

Of course, back then we still had good stuff coming out in theaters and we weren't overloaded with celebrity crap 24/7. We would see them in Tiger Beat or similar magazines and on Entertainment Tonight. Now there are entire networks whose sole purpose is to force feed celebrity goings-on to the masses. Thank goodness I am not one of the masses.

Totally agree. The products are just bad. TV Shows absolutely rock these days.

It has nothing to do with the actors political views.
Surely people would have to watch it to find out they didn't want to watch it for trump bashing. Swing and a miss?

The awards shows have become platforms for far-left political diatribes for some time now. No one needed to watch the Emmys this year to find that out.
Does anyone really watch award shows like that?

Wow you guys are a bit soft if you would otherwise watch something if there were no jokes on your faithful leader!

I haven't watched in years. The decline in the quality of movies was the cause initially. The whiny politics is just another reason to stay away.

Why would you otherwise watch it? Its drivel even without the nonstop political pantswetting. Some, like me, pop in for a minute just to hear some ditz whine about Trump or praise Shrillary as "graceful." The schadenfreude is like a good dessert, too much is addictive and makes you sleepy.

First off, there's a huge difference between hate-filled lies and "jokes." It's all preaching all the time.

Secondly, it's supposed to be an awards show. People watched the Emmys to see if their favorite shows got any awards. But now the awards just go to the show that spouts out the farthest-left propaganda. Joseph Goebbels wins all the awards these days.
