The Jags to win 5 or 6 games next year?  Wouldn't that be something...

Quote:5.5? I almost feel inclined on betting on this... if this team cant win 6 games with the talent they have everywhere and the easy schedule we have... then idk what to say, this team probably doesn't deserve to be in existence at that point..

6 wins this season should be a no brainer or something is massively wrong

Bortles

I threw down a grand on it. What the hell, it's only money.

Got Jags over at -125

Vegas can kiss my [BLEEP]
I think they got confused and put our number of losses
I voted 15..

Didn't wanna be greedy

They picked up bortles option so go on Big Cat Country and cry about it.
Give me 9 wins. I sense a major turnaround.
7 wins...to be generous.

Why?

1. Still have Bortles.

2. Still have Todd Wash running the defense.

3. Still have Hackett as OC.

Unfortunately, Vegas is usually spot on when it comes to the Jags.
Anyone have the 2016 opening odds? I'd like to see how accurate they were for other teams
Blake is everything right now. He sucks like he did last year, probably a 5 win team at best. He takes a step, 7 or 8 wins is likely the peak for this team. Maybe they surprise a team or 2 and hit 9 or 10 wins but I think that's unlikely.
I have already made a foolish prediction in another thread, but seriously I like what we are trying to do. The power running got the tacks to 9 wins last year, why couldn't it do the same for us? Our D is better. 9-7

6 wins.

Let's start by winning in week 1 for a change

It's pretty obvious why Vegas odds has us at only 5.5 wins this coming season... one word.... Bortles. A professional quarterback into his third season shouldn't still be struggling with rookie technique issues... issues that are a part of what's at the heart of his high percentage of thrown interceptions. He also has been sacked an outrageous number of times; in part due to a really substandard offensive line, but also due to his own poor field vision.

Our move toward a run first game is due to the well deserved lack of confidence in Bortles to not turn the ball over. Yet we give this guy his fifth year extension? That is a real head scratcher to me.

Anyway, I'm not surprised Vegas sees us as no better than 5.5 wins since we've still not addressed a significant part of our problem (quarterback). Now if we had an offensive line of absolute maulers, I might have more confidence in Bortles; but as it is, not so much.

Here's to what will probably be another losing season... though I would be very happy about it if I were dramatically wrong... but I don't see it.

The Titans suck.  Their RB can't even do the cone drills.

you forgot a option for voteing.  anways my answer is ask me about record after our 3rd pre-season game.

I've got 9 wins if the damn scoring defense can be #10-#20 and not #26-#32 like they have been the past 4 years

Can't put the blame squarely on them for that.

Jacksonville Jaguars
  • OVER 7.5 -125
  • UNDER 7.5 -105

Interesting. There were quite a few teams that over and under performed on that list. Dallas was projected to win 8, ATL to win 7.5. Carolina was supposed to win around 11...
