The main stream sports media as well as many posters on here seem to focus on turnovers by Blake Bortles.  Lets take a look at this week's stats.

QB's WITH 3 INT's in one game this week.

Jameis Winston
Matt Ryan
DeShone Kizer
Philip Rivers
Cam Newton

QB's WITH 2 INT's in one game this week.

Eli Manning
Deshaun Watson
Trevor Siemian
Joe Flacco,

My point is, that Blake Bortles has probably been unfairly called out by fans and the sports media for being "bad".  In all reality, he played a very good game today.  At least a couple of those INT's were pick-6's.
Aaron Rodgers also threw a pick 6 today.
The reason Blake has been at the top in picks and pick six''es is because he had to throw pretty much more passes then any other QB over the pass few years top 3 for sure

Not saying Blake is great but if you have to pass that much your gonna be at the top of those stats unless your Brady or Rodgers

Do you know for a fact Blake Bortles threw more passes than anyone else in the last three years?

It is impossible to say "the reason" for any passing statistic. There are multiple reasons for all of them.

The bottom line is that Blake takes so much flak, but yet isn't much different from any other NFL QB.  Is he a Tom Brady?  Absolutely not, but he is good enough for this team to be successful.  Fans have piled up on him so much that it's even spilled into the social/main stream media.  He's not as bad as people think.
Derek Carr has started tonight 3-8 with 2 INT's

The mainstream media does not watch every play in every Jaguars game like we do. Everyone knows MJD is biased toward his former team, so his opinions don't help other analysts. We need NFL analysts who have no connections to Jacksonville to like us and unfortunately that has not happened yet.

When people give Blake Bortles too much flak they are talking about more than turnovers, although he has been an interception machine his entire career. In the past I have pointed out several times the career interception record is owned by Brett Favre. Nobody would tell you he was a bad QB after reading that number, whatever it is.

Wow. What happened to the Derek Carr who won 12 games last year?
Carr looks like crap. Very off the mark. As for bortles, really good game today. Again, we know he has the talent, we just need to see Blake do that consistently and just keep playing smart, he can be a very good nfl qb.

He is going to build confidence with more performances like this. Let's hope anyway...
its because the haters on here want a qb who is 100% accurate and throws 0 ints the entire year. but thats what the madden fanboys think is a good qb. They dont want to hear that BB5 is like Farve a gunslinger who happens to hold the record for most ints.

The difference is that Farve was surrounded by great players.  Farve was on a team that won.  When you win people don't pay attention to your ints. Hopefully that is the direction we are headed.  Winning cures everything.

It's only reasonable to look at the years where Blake was the starter all season (obviously you'll throw more passes starting 16 games than 13). For 2015-2016, then, Bortles is third in the league for pass attemtps. 4 attempts behind Philip Rivers, who in turn is some 60 behind Drew Brees.
His problem has always been inconsistency. Let's not pretend we never saw great games out of him.

I hope he picks it right where he left off, but it feels i'm saying such things for 3 years.

i know I've seen the stats on ESPN and NFL saying the pass attempts per year per qb go stafford carr and bortles top three, with bortles and carr top two of three for most attempts.over the first three years of a career.
